Q: Has anyone noticed breakouts as the result of using this?

While blackheads don’t (usually) have bacteria in them, acne does. I would guess that even if you start with a clean roller, as you move it across any skin with pimples/acne, you are likely picking up bacteria on the roller and then unintentionally spreading it to other areas of your face, potentially causing more acne breakouts. I use a pumice stone (pumice is also volcanic stone) for removing dead skin cells and calluses from the bottoms of my feet. All volcanic stones are naturally very porous. When I first tried using it on my feet, I would lather them up with soap, thinking this would work better—it did not. The soap would get deep in the porous stone, and no amount of hot water rinsing would get it all out. It just made the stone useless (it lost its “roughness”) and I had to throw it out. With the second stone, I washed my feet and rinsed them off, then used the stone, which works great. My point being that with such a porous stone, you can never really get out/clean everything that gets embedded deep into the pours. While this seems like a great idea, and I’m sure it probably works good for someone without ANY acne, I decided it probably would not work well for me, for this reason.

Q: How often should you wash the stone?

It will stop absorbing oil when it needs to be washed so I find that I need to do mine about every 3 to 4 uses because I have fairly oily skin.

Q: Does this actually work? Can you see results right away?

I love mine, never heard of it but I seen it at the store and thought it might work, and IT DOES!!!! I have oily skin, like always getting oily every three , four hours and I love that I have a different option other than the oil Absorbing sheets. 😊

Q: How do you get the ball out to clean it? Need step by step instructions please.

Turn ring below ball to left to unlock (go get a flashlight to see printed lock/unlock symbols on outside of product) then lift both ball and black ring you just unlocked from product separating it from long handle…(ball will still be stuck inside like an egg on a nest) .. push down towards floor on ball revealing a white ring that the ball sits in..now the ball is completely out and can be cleaned.. reverse steps to put it back together making sure to lock in place :-)
