Nice deep black as 4B should. Ya, the lead is unstanchably very soft, you will need to click your feeder in every 5-6 words, it's that soft. If you want to use it as your daily writer I wouldn't recommend it, but for drawing, highlight works it fine. The product quality is good, but the price is considerably high as it is a Japanese product.

Thus 4b provides good darkness. Feels like 6b. Great for precise and neat drawings.

Good quality

These leads are great for every use. These are super dark and smooth. Writing on paper feels super smooth as the lead glides on paper. The case is also quite fascinating.

I bought it for my son. Though he is just 6+ years old, I’ve taught him to use mechanical pencil and fountain pen to write, and he also uses them happily. This is something I did to make sure that he doesn’t apply extra pressure while writing (a problem small kids have as you know if you have small kids at home). I have him this 4B and he is very happy since he can write faster with no pressure applied. His handwriting is also looking excellent. Though it seems to be costly but the price is established by premium quality and premium packaging. If I were rich I would have bought one mechanical pencil for me just to use this lead😀. Overall I’m so happy to find this product that I thought to write this review.

Best for use accordingly in art

This pencil lead writes smoothly on any type of paper, however it's not recommended for high quality papers of 70 GSM and above. The lead tends to get used up pretty fast on high quality paper and feels no different from 2B leads. This 4B lead shines when used with notebooks with inexpensive low GSM papers. THat kind of paper is not fountain pen friendly, it's prone to feathering and ghosting. Even gel ink ball point pens create ghosting and feathering. This 4B lead is ideal for that kind of paper. You get a nice dark line and there is no need to worry about feathering and ghosting.
