It's real, so filter your water and only use a "new" or "CLEAN" pot or forget about taste
This IS the best coffee I have ever had. Volcanica coffee is THE BEST. But make sure you aren't us some old nasty coffee pot. Compare it to KOA or anything else. Great coffee too. I give a FIVE. WITH A BIG THANK YOU TO JOSE FROM VOLCANICA. Thanks to HIM, I'm very pleased with VOLCANICA. Update September 1st 2017. It has now been months of comparing KOA to VOLCANICA. If you want the best, choose Volcanica! It makes my day. That's why I have ten pounds. Five Peaberry and Five Extra fancy. They WIN HANDS DOWN!!! KOA IS good. But VOLCANICA is the best by far. I wish the company well! Thank you JOSE for helping me! It's still the best I just can't afford it anymore. I ran out. At $99 a pound no coffee is worth that much.

Life is too short for bad coffee. Go for it and you’ll thank me later
“Wow! This is an absolutly insane amount of money to pay for a bag of coffee beans. Aren’t there decent coffee beans out there that are cheaper? I mean, how different can one good coffee be from another, right?“The answer is VERY DIFFERENT.So for a special occasion, I would be willing to pay this much for a very fine wine, or a beautiful champagne, and i would happily use those in a single evening. This coffee is comparable to those treats, except that it lasts longer. So YES, this is a crazy amount to pay for a bag of coffee beans. But if you love good coffee, and can tell the difference between a high quality elixir cup vs not caring if your java tastes like and a Rubber Tire, then buy these coffee beans.(No offense to the company or those who frequent the establishment, I do so myself from time to time, but no, Starbucks is not the best of the best in coffee, brewed by pushing a button, or the beans bought in bags. And I was in Seattle when the franchise started, back when they trained their employees to pull a good shop of esspresso.)I am about to buy my 2nd bag of these Kona Peaberry Reserve coffee beans and, God willing, I will not have to change my choice of coffee for a very long time.Due to global warming, the best coffee beans are unlikely be available in 50 years, so let’s contribute all we can to the continuation of this high quality farming industry. What would you spend extra money on to ensure the best of the best? I make home ground French press coffee every morning and cannot be happier. Thank you for making this available, Volcania Gourmet Coffee.

Worth the Money?
About average from order to receive time. It would be better if it had a roasted date available. But many other Kona coffee bean vendors available much cheaper and I've tried others for a third of the price. They come with roasted dates and as good or better. Bottom line over priced for 100% Kona Peaberry, available cheaper from other Kona vendors.

Not real Kona
Whatever this was, it was not real Kona or it was very old. Several years ago, I worked as a barista while I was getting my M.S.Ed. I learned to appreciate good coffee and will still splurge once in awhile. I purchased this as a treat for my family for Christmas morning. What a disappointment! It had no acidity or body. It was just flat. I understand that Kona is delicate, but it should be flavorful. At one point, my son said, "Who prefers Maxwell House?" and everyone raised their hands. SMH. Total waste of money, but at least we all laughed.

Finally, the real deal!
I've tried several recently and this was what I was looking for. I's what I remembered real Kona Peaberry tasted like years ago when I tried it. Doubt I'd ever go back to non Kona from here out. Worth the extra $. Enjoy!
