Fascinations Metal Earth Space Shuttle Atlantis 3D Metal Model Kit

High quality, fun model.If you're new to 3D metal models, this is a perfect starter kit. It was pretty easy, but still fun to build (they all are). And completes my NASA collection.Tip: I have several drill bits in various sizes which work perfect for bending circles. Just bend the metal around the shank. A round pencil is also a must for circles, as are wooden spoon handles, and other misc things around the house.

I purchased this as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend who is in school for Aerospace Engineering and he loved it! It didn't take him too long to put together and I love that it's made of metal. I purchased it almost 3 years ago and it's still sitting on top of his desk.

This kit was far too easy, not to mention that it is the same model as the Space Shuttle Atlantis kit (with the imprint being the only difference).

Very nifty model, a little difficult to assemble out of the box. Removed 1 star based on the need to use wires cutters or pliers to assemble.

Well cut, ,easy to assemble. Quality as with all the other Fascinations metal models that I have assembled.

These are fun projects and look neat once finished!

Extremely difficult with large hands. The tabs are 1/16" by 1/8". You can hardly see them. The design also has flaws like trying to have you insert a straight tab into a hole in the kink of a 90 degree bend. Had a booster fall off because perforated metal. Stand fell apart because perforated metal. If it wasn't meant to be snapped off... I don't know, maybe don't perforate it? Instructions say needle nose pliers may help. Very, very fine tip needle nose pliers are not optional. Kind of sad because my dad bought this before he passed away and I couldn't even get the stupid thing together. Thanks for the memories.
