Amazing and has changed my life - Denise dupe
I am still newish to crochet and been teaching myself tunisian crochet. I've been using regular crochet hooks. I decided to get a set of "real" tunisian crochet hooks and based on various reviews, I wanted to try the Denise set, but it was a little spendy when I was worried if the smaller hook size would hurt my hands. Then I saw this, which seems to be a dupe (mostly, I read in another review that the cords are not interchangeable) for the Denise needles but about a third of the price and thought I would give it a shot.First: just having tunisian hooks has probably doubled my speed in comparison to traditional hooks. I feel like I'm going to be using these for all my projects, tunisian or not. I didn't realize how big of a difference it would make, but it's huge. If you are struggling with tunisian and using regular hooks, don't give up until you try with real tunisian hooks.Second: Very smooth. I just got them tonight and quickly crocheted up a swatch and didn't have any catching or dragging, yet felt more secure in my hand than even my metal hooks. I haven't done anything super wide yet, I'll update if there are issues. But from what I can see so far, slides over the joins nicely and the hook is as smooth as silk.Third: Connectors - I really wanted one that didn't need a key. I've been able to put stuff on and take it off without anything, but they give you paperclips to use as a "key" if you are struggling with maneuvering the pieces into place. Haven't had enough time to know if the connection is super secure, will update if there are problems. Note: they are not swivel cords.Fourth: Size variety! OMG, the sizes. I think it's weird that so many kits have small hooks (which this does too) but not many large hooks, considering you usually size up for tunisian. And it has the mythical 7mm! ;) I'm very happy with the size variety.Fifth: Comfort: Again, haven't had them for long, but so far, as comfortable or more than my traditional metal hook (not tunisian) It doesn't seem to dig into my hand yet. Only time will tell if there's cramping when I'm doing more with it, but right now, it seems to be good! The thumb rest is key. I don't have a thumb rest on my regular hooks, and I now know that I love having one. Seems to fit nicely in the hand - I have long fingers.Overall: I highly recommend these. I'm sure the Denise ones are nicer, and if I start to have issues with connections or lose parts, I'll likely replace it with a nicer set of real Denise hooks, but for someone starting out, these are a great set of beginning needles. They won't break the bank, you have a wide variety of sizes (printed on the hooks themselves so you don't have to mark them), and make tunsian (and I suspect traditional) crochet world's better. Buy them!

Great value for starter Tunisian crochet set
As a newbie to Tunisian crochet I purchased a couple of interchangeable sets to try and see what feels good in my hand as I work through the stitches. I normally shy away from anything plastic for crochet hooks, but the price and value for the various sizes in this set made me take a leap of faith and try it.Pros: Lightweight. It is very light and these glide in and out of yarns smoothly. The hooks are well made, smooth and matte finished. I looked for any plastic residue on each hook and found none. Love the color variety of each hook The size of each hook is etched on the bottom which is really nice. The cords and caps were simple to attached and detached.Cons: The length of the hooks. I have medium size hands and these are short. While there is the indentation for where you can place your thumb, I felt like my pinky and my ring finger had to be a much firmer grip which after a while made my fingers tired easily. I just wish these were the standard lengths like my crochet hooks. The cord lengths is another con for me in this set. For the variety of hook sizes, for the bigger hooks you would think they would at least one longer cord like a 24 inches or 36 inches would be nice. That said, there was a separate cord set you can purchase but it is currently unavailable at the time of this review.Overall, I think this is a great set to have in your arsenal

Great set, lots of bang for the buck...but there IS a caveat.
I need to say, at the outset, that I own Denise Interchangeable products and have used them for a number of years. I saw this set and figured I'd be able to use my cords, etc. with this set and that assumption was one of the deciding factors for my ordering it. Assumptions are never wise. That being said, I'll now lay out my review...I received the set and was impressed. The case is pretty well made and I was impressed with the pockets contained on the inside of the case. There are two zippered pockets on the side with the smaller hooks and a large elasticized pocket on the side of the case with the gargantuan hooks. I was also pleased with the number of cords that come with the set. They are stored in the elasticized pocket. On the side of the case with the smaller hooks there's a nice feature. Across the bottom of the hooks there is an elasticized pouch that prevents the hooks from sliding out the bottom. It's not a necessity but a nice touch. The hooks are all smooth and quite colorful. For those of you who are familiar with Denise crochet hooks, I'll let you know the main differences between them and this set of hooks. The length of the hooks is the same for both brands...4.75 inches. The finish of the Denise hooks is more slick than this set of hooks. These colorful hooks have a more matte finish. The work still slides smoothly and easily while crocheting. The head of the hook has a minimally sharper point on this colorful set as opposed to the Denise brand.Side-by-side the two brands look almost identical. I soon discovered that there is a major difference when I attempted to attach one of my Denise cords to one of my new, colorful hooks. It didn't work. I examined the two cord connectors and discovered that their configuration is slightly different. It's different enough that the cords are definitely NOT interchangeable between brands. I have submitted a question that I'm hoping the manufacturer will answer. I'm wondering if it's possible to purchase additional cords.I am very pleased with this set of crochet hooks. The yarn glides over them easily and they feel good in the hand. I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in the finished product between something made with these hooks or something made with the Denise hooks. The price point of this set is considerably less than ordering the Denise set so this would be a good set for someone who wants to get the most bang for their buck and who may be wanting to order a starter set. I love the colors, too. While the size of the hooks is stamped into the side of each hook, the color makes it much simpler to remember which hook goes with which project in between crocheting sessions--I just grab the correct color from the tray where my current hooks rest when not in use.I would definitely recommend this set. The only drawback to owning this set is the difference in cord connector configuration. If additional cords can be purchased, then this set is definitely golden! If not, then I'd have to caution any potential user to take extra care with the cords. Not being able to procure replacement cords would be a definite limitation. If your use of your products is rather robust, then it's something that you would definitely want to consider before purchasing.
