So far great
As others have noted this will not turn on without hitting the on button, not a big deal for me as I really like the ability to choose light settings to brightness and warmth.I have mine on a smart switch connected to my Echo's, so I attached the switch to a wire anchor like the ones you use for wire management on the back of my headboard which makes it easy to use without it being visible. When I go to sleep after reading a bit, I just command Alexa to shut off the light. It was easy to mount, I added a small piece of wood to the back of my sleigh bed headboard with Gorilla glue holding it in place with duct tape till glue dried and then attached light to the wood avoiding putting the screws into the headboard potentially damaging it.Love this light so far, if it fails I will update this review

Decent for the price
It seems like a fairly sturdy design, all metal. It's bendy gooseneck is long and easy to position. decently bright and I like the three color settings. It fades through the brightnesses really well if you hold the button down. One thing I do dislike is that the buttons are positioned inline on the chords so they are hard to reach.

Just ok...
The item does appear to work as described, but I ran into a few installation quirks one may want to know before purchasing. The base uses a bracket not unlike something you would see holding up a ceiling light. It is then fastened to the wall with screws. The bracket must be fitted on the horizontal, negating the ability to completely stud mount the bracket. You will need to mount one side of the support bracket to drywall anchor. With regular use, i suspect I will be replacing that wall anchor several times. The articulating arm cannot support the lamps weight if side mounted. (Just in case you want to try to mount both screws to stud) Lastly, I was hoping to use raceway to hide the lamps wires on the wall. But the location of the control switch for the light is only a foot or so below the base. Essentially right in the middle of where cable management would be run. So you need to piece a raceway around the control in the middle of the power cable. Keep this in mind if you plan to mount it on an open wall. Overall, just ok....

OK lamp with some flaws
On the surface, a nice inexpensive wall mounted reading lamp. Variable color temperature, brightness. Longer flexible neck than most. The problems begin when you mount the lamp to your wall. Two rather small plastic anchors are included. They really aren't strong enough when mounting to 1/2" drywall which is what most of us have in our homes. I turned the mounting fixture from horizontal to vertical so I could get two longer screws through the drywall into a stud. This is fine until you see that the flexible neck is secured by one nut with no means to prevent it from turning or loosening the nut.As there is a cable running through the nut you can't just add a lock washer to help secure the flexible neck. I loosened the nut a couple of turns (14mm open end wrench). I then took an internally toothed lock washer and cut out part of the washer making into a C shape. I dropped this in between the nut and the lamp base, added a couple of drops of LokTite or similar thread locker and tightened the nut as much as I could in the restricted space. This seems to secure the flexible neck from turning. Don't try this with a split lock washer as these are made with much harder material and will be difficult to cut. The toothed lock washer digs into the aluminum base and the nut helping to prevent loosening. After mounting, I noticed that the lamp housing can easily unscrew from the end of the flexible neck. I would recommend loosening the lamp housing a turn or two (carefully as there is a small cable there) and add another drop or two of thread locker. Retighten the lamp housing. The light the lamp makes is enough to illuminate a book for reading but doesn't have much range. One final problem: the little control has a bright blue LED that is on when the lamp is off. It's irritating to me at night when I'm trying to sleep, so I put a bit of black plastic electrical tape over it. This works and seems to be OK as the LED doesn't generate much heat. The thin tape doesn't interfere with the push buttons.Well, this seems like a lot of effort to go to to make a $20 lamp work right. The other similar lamps offered have much shorter flexible necks and wouldn't work for me.

Multiple temperature, dimmable lamp. Perfect for my needs.
After rearranging my bedroom, I realized that I no longer had a reading light near my bed which provided me a legitimate excuse to go shopping for a new light. This particular light meets all my needs(and more actually). Its dimmable, mounts on the wall beside my bed, is incredibly adjustable, and energy efficient. It also has multiple options for light "temperature" or color? It can be set to a white hue, yellowish, or whatever and each hue is also dimmable. I didnt need all the hues but it's nice that they are there. Finally, I bought the light "used like new" from Amazon wharehouse deals which made the price right for me as well. And it arrived in promised "used like new" condition so I'm very happy with it.
