Flexcut tools are excellent. What else can I say. I'm a novice wood carver and I am trying different tools as I go. I have a modified plexiglass cutter, I fashion into a very ergonomic kiridashi. It works beautifully. I also have some other assorted lesser dollar knives as well as a couple at a more moderate price. All that being said, the Flexcut tools I've used are genuinely worth the cost, as they are beautiful in form and function. You really must get a tool in your hands to estimate it's value.Buy this. You could do far worse things with $25.

Arrived sharp and ready to use. These are used in my Ryobi carving tool, for fine details on a woodblock for printmaking. Highly recommended.I recommend watching YouTube videos on Mokuhanga block carving for more ideas and inspirations.

I'm very disappointed by this product. Flexcut products are typically well designed and executed. This one isn't.The gap in the arbor to recieve/hold the blades is too wide, several hundredths wider than the shank of the blades is thick, so they blades fit loosely in it.I have tightened the chuck as far as it will go, and the blades still wobble around. I'm going to contact Flexcut, and see what they say, but I don't hold out much hope.As it is, it doesn't really hold the blades well enough to carve final details in hard woods

I use these in my power carver and they perform very satisfactorily.
