Seems to work well.
Seems to correlate with known levels of Radon, in our local area. Does take a day or two to get initial readings setup, but then it is quite sensitive to varying levels. Worth the cost, if you are worried or want to check for any dangerous spots in your house. Very short USB charging cord is included, but you will need a USB extension, and charger, if you're going any distance from a wall plug. Batteries only a short while, but enough to get a spot reading.

Small Radon Detector did the job.
Detector was consistent from room to room within 4.17 to 4.19 to 4.2 taken in different rooms and basement. This will enable us to see if a remediation system will be needed before we talk to anyone. Plan to use the Detector as a followup check after the system is installed. Readings greater than 4.0 are not good.

Probably a fraudulent device
The device is probably a design fraud.I bought this device as a second to my existing meter due to moving into a new house and wanting to test two levels as one was above the garage which had some cracks in the slab (which is a classic potential issue). However, its results are pure garbage.I was slightly suspicious from the get go because it was extremely light. Now being light isn't a problem by itself but my other meter was much heavier and as a physicist I know what the device should weigh and this was a bit too light even if the design was extremely efficient. Its also suspicious as this was a cheaper model not from a well known brand like my other device.Initially I switched it on and after 24 hours it gave a reading of 4.1That was much higher than the reading from my meter in the lower level which is strange but it could have been the garage. So I continued to test and the reading kept coming down. it went to 3 then to 2 then to 1.5. Then I reset it to check and it showed the EXACT same pattern. After 24 hours it was at 4.1 then down to 3 then 2 then 1.5.To double check I then brought my old meter upstairs and it showed 0.5 - a bit lower than the 0.8 downstairs. Typically this is what I would expect unless the garage slab is a big problem.I then triple checked by buying yet another meter from a different company and it agreed very well with my old meter (within 0.1 which is certainly good enough given they cannot be positioned at exactly the same place etc.)As one final check I bought a graphite test kit and found lo and behold it agreed with the other two devices. So I am not sure if this device even has a radon detector built in and if it does it probably has very poor sensitivity and therefore the thing just starts always a 4 which is conveniently the problem threshold and then over time gets closer to the true reading.Regardless of what it is doing, it is CERTAINLY not doing what it claims. To give it a chance I reset it once again and again it gave a reading just above 4 which over time came lower. So basically don't buy this unless you want to be scared into thinking you have a radon problem when you don't or potentially given initial reassurance that its not that bad when it is bad.

Works great
It gave reading within 24 hours and I moved it around from room to room several days at a time. I had to connect it to my cell phone charger to work. It only has a usb port. I initially had reading above 4.20. So I called a radon mitigation guy in my area and did some research online.. I was concerned because I was having new windows installed and insulation that would tighten drafts and I was concerned radon reading would go up more. I ended up sealing cracks in foundation and had my built-in garage foundation resurfaced to fill in cracks with a Polyurea and the readings are now down to outdoor air quality which is around 1.0. Anything over 4 requires mitigation. ( The radon guy recommended getting it below 2.7.) This meter has been well worth the money. My neighbor has also used it. So note because I decided to seal foundation and garage floor cracks first, I never did need to mitigate professionally for radon and that is after new windows. Highly recommend this product.

Cheap lifesaver!
We moved into a house where the previous owner died of lung cancer. It was thought his smoking was the cause. Bought this meter and found radon off the scale in the man’s basement workshop. Ordered radon abatement ventilation so I won’t suffer the same fate.
