Gibraltar SC-LRS-1 Small L-Rod 9.5Mm

I am on a budget, so, I bought this to add to a clamp instead of buying all the L-rod or tom arm. So, it worked perfectly. I don't know if it will broke in the future, but at least, I could set a tom with a Gretsch tom holder.

I have a Sonor 4000 combo stand for mounting a tom and a cymbal. Well, the hex rod that came with Sonor was really made for Sonor's mounting system, and it wasn't long enough to provide enough rigidity and support for my Ludwig's Atlas mounting hardware. This hex rod solved my problem. The hex side fits perfectly inside the Sonor's ball mount, and the rod side is thick and long enough to hold my Ludwig tom very solidly.I'm absolutely thrilled to have found this product, before returning my Sonor stand.

This "adapter" will fit the original 9.5mm hardware mounts found on most vintage bass drums and allow you to mount a tom that you upgraded with one of the numerous upgrade mounts designed to accept a 12.5mm rod to provide a much more secure attachment. So, if you have upgraded your tom mounts but are stuck with the original bass drum mounts, this is the perfect solution for you. You get the best of both worlds -- you keep the original bass mounts and benefit from the modern tom mounts, which usually can replaced back to the original mounts if you want your kit back to its original vintage appearance.
