Black Butler, Vol. 27: MIRROR MIRROR

It arrived a day earlier, that made me really happy. But honestly, shipping for this takes around 3 weeks and it's a nerve wrecking wait, if you are one hell of a fan of black butler like me. The recent chapters were a cold and sudden reminder that the biggest villain, the 'final boss' (if you will) of the series is someone we know all too well, and someone we've loved right from volume 1. This volume will leave you pining away for when the next volume would be published. I mean come on, this series is a masterpiece. Having a paperback copy of Black butler, to read whenever I feel like, especially while I sit down to evening tea (cough, cough, Not english breakfast, I prefer Earl Grey) is just a delight. Just get the whole Black butler volume already!

Some things that the boys went through I already guessed at, but seeing it played out was so heartbreaking. Will we ever learn his true name? What's going to happen now? I look forward to reading the next volume.

This is not a direct follow up from Vol 26 but rather the telling of the back story. Mainly what happened before and after the dreaded birthday party and that our Ciel is the younger brother of the real Ciel.This is speculation on my part but the family dog that kept barking and pulling at our Ciel and who he thought hated him maybe was just trying to warn and protect him after all he was called Sabastian. Also our Ciel seems to get ill after eating food and drink given by his elder brother which I thought odd maybe his elder brother is not as good as our Ciel thinks.I am sure all will be revealed in Vol 28 and hopefully what our Ciels real name is as so far only his butler Sabastian knows.

This is the 27th volume in the Black Butler series and was the darkest and most disturbing volume of the series. It was incredibly well done and I really enjoyed it.Volume 26 left the readers on a huge cliffhanger, this volume explains the backstory behind that. We finally learn the true story behind the death of Ciel’s family and how Ciel ended up bound to Sebastian.This series continues to be amazingly well done, although I will warn this is a very dark book in the series. The illustration is amazingly beautiful and I absolutely love the characters. Learning all the backstory behind Ciel and Sebastian was incredible.Overall I continue to really love this series and this book was an excellent addition to it. I am dying to know what happens next!!!

I actually feel quite lost as I don't know what to read now! Very good volume. Quite emotional, but not overly so. Poses lots of questions I'm excited to find the answers to.

I am so happy with this! I snatched this up when I saw it was on sale for $9! I've been wanting the new book and I'm so glad that I got it! It is in perfect condition too! I definitely recommend this series.
