The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III - PlayStation 4

I love the Trails series soooo much! I played the first 2 when they were re-released on ps4 and now I'm about 80 hours into the third one and I think I still have 10-20 hours left and that's just a first playthrough.This game is a story that has been building for many years, all the way from the trails in the sky series. The first two don't have anything to do with TitS by this one definitely does. You don't have to play the original series but if you do, you will understand the story better and the entire crossbell arc will be much more meaningful. But again, you don't HAVE to play it. But you do have to play the first 2 cold steel games for sure.The relationships have been building for so long now and each game is over 100 hours long so when you get to the third one it's like seeing old friends you grew up with again and it's very heart warming... Not many games have this kind of effect on me, but this one does! I can't wait for the fourth one to be brought to the west. Please support this title so that the developers see there is a huge interest here and bring it to us before too long!Only thing I wish they could have done, was sold this game in a steel case like the other 2 ps4 releases.. It's kinda funny to have 2 steel cases and one reg plastic case... But that's just my opinion from a collectors viewpoint.

Independientemente de la calidad del juego, me siento decepcionado. Si bien la descripción del producto es correcta, la primera imagen no lo es. El juego viene en una caja normal, el "libro" de arte viene en lugar del manual y es super breve y el mini soundtrack viene al lado del juego. Por cierto, la imágen del soundtrack y del "libro" de arte no tienen nada que ver con el producto final (aunque dice que el arte está sujeto a cambios, el juego salió hace casi 8 meses, por lo que deberían haberla actualizado).La verdad me siento bastante decepcionado, esperaba más por el precio.

Sigue teniendo lo que hace a esta franquicia tan hermosa, la continua evolucion y enriquecimiento de los npc tanto los jugables como los no jugables, asi como un mundo que sigue creciendo ante tus propios ojos, tambien tiene una mejora grafica decente a los 2 juegos pasados. Espero con ansias que traigan la 4ta entrega al occidente.

Just like the rest of the series you have a diamond in the ruff series that is great to play . Warning however DO NOT play this game without playing the first two. You will be completely lost of the story if you do. Luckily Amazon sells the first two on here as well. Anyways I can say I LOVE this series that I only found recently. I played it whenever I had free time and for all three games I did the ending parts slowly in order to brace myself for the next game. This series series is known for colossal cliffhangers which you will find out at the beginning of the first game as well as this one. The 4th game of this series cannot come soon enough as I am dying to know what happens next and to see the main character end up with the girl I choose through the whole series. This game has it all. Drama, love interests, thick plot lines, espionage and traitors and a hefty helping of giant mech fights. One of the core things i like is character development which i enjoyed how each characters grow through each game. I just finished this game last night December 21st 2019 and when you get to the end of this one you you'll understand why I want to get to the next one as fast as possible. The Trails of Cold Steel franchise has probably one of the best story lines that I haven't seen in awhile. I've played rpgs my whole life and this series gets my stamp of approval. Hopefully more and more people play this series so it can get the attention it deserves.

I'm only into the second chapter so this may not be my final rating. First of all, I'm disappointed there's no carry over from 1 or 2. Secondly, there's things being talked about that they seem to think I should know, but sometimes have no clue what they're referring to. Thirdly, there's a few new things in the battle systems, but you have to go blind because there's no tutoriasl at all. If you never played the previous games you'd be lost.. And, they made the bosses so friggin hard that you keep having to use the "weaken and retry" option. It's good they have that option, buy why make them so strong in the first place. For me, it takes away from the enjoyment of the game. Anyway, that's it for now. "I'll be back".....And, I'M BACK. Well once I got through the very difficult part and after several tries learned the new battle techniques it became much easier and much more enjoyable. I still find the story very scattered. Bit and pieces of info here and there that really don't mean much at least for now. Anyway, up to 4 stars from 3. I have no idea what's ahead so I may be back again in the end.
