This is a really good awl
This "bird cage" awl is really fantastic. The shape is good in the hand and doesn't roll away.

Machined sides make this an v good reamer
I'll be using this to start pilot holes in wood and drywall. The machined edges glint in the light. Not sure I would feel comfortable hammering on this as the tip is still pretty thin.
