SmartwoolThermal Merino Balaclava

I've ordered a lot of ski masks but they are always so uncomfortable. This mask feels great. It is a little thin so if you're looking for ultimate warmth maybe go with carhartt. The color looks exactly like the pictures. It's very breathable. The quality of stitching is great. It fits my head really well but it might be tight if you have a large head.

Fits FAR BETTER than its WoolX competitor. The WoolX is thicker though both excel at keeping the surfaces they cover warm. Returned the WoolX due to it being far too short for its advertised purposes.

Amazing warmth and wind shielding for such thin and lightweight fabric, which makes it perfect to pack for travel. Mine was tested in the Arctic and snowmobiling through drifting snow and high winds, as well as while standing outdoors shooting night photography. I have very sensitive skin, and this Smartwool balaclava didn't cause any allergic reactions or issues.

Very warm, it does not itch and its fast drying. It is a little bit tight but with a couple of uses it should get a little bit more loose.

This was 100% worth it. I have never skiied with face coverings because they are Always wet and fall down and just make my life worse. I skied from open to close today with this in 25F conditions. Because it's wool, even with the condensation from my breath and nose and the snow from outside, it never felt uncomfortably wet and kept my face warm and dry. I wear a ton of wool all the time so the very slight itch does not bother me at all, but ymmv. Buy this if you are a skier or snowboarder, you will not regret it!

Face hole is way too big. Exposes your whole forehead for no good reason.
