Shipped with love
I have greenhouse full of Phalaenopsis orchids. I have always wanted Vandas. I never thought to look on Amazon. Low and behold, I did. I purchased 2 Vandas. The shipping was delayed (no fault of the sellers) The days got colder I thought for sure that they had died with the frigid cold. They finally arrived and to my amazement, they were looking healthy and just beautiful. The orchid seller did such an amazing job packing them that they were untouched by the cold. They're now in the greenhouse with the rest of my orchids. Looking cozy and warm, not at all scathed by the winter's cold. A++++++++ seller will buy from them again in the very near future. This is REALLY REALLY small
Wow, this Vanda small! It only has four leaves and is about 3.5" tall. After the fact, I see that other reviewers also mentioned the same thing, so, yes, that's my mistake. However, we are not living in the age of caveat emptor, and I don't think that consumers should have to sift through every review just to get an accurate product description. That said, the company packed everything very well, included a very small Dendrobium orchid, and printed extra care information--see first picture--for $23. Even outside in Florida, I am concerned that (1) the plants are not hearty enough to survive, and (2), if they do, it will take more than two years to see any flowers. In contrast is the second picture, a tall, strong Vanda with copious flowers that I bought at Home Depot for $36. As much as I like to support small businesses, it seems difficult to justify buying the little plants with questionable short-term value when much more robust alternatives are available for a few dollars more. I will update my rating if the heartiness and growth rate of my small plants are better than my initial impressions.

Definitely better than expected
So I got this because my previous Vanda orchid had died. Been eyeing it for a minute and was pleasantly surprised by what arrived. I did receive a Vanda , very well packaged I might add, and care instructions. What made me laugh is the size of it. This thing can fit in the palm of my hand! For the price it is absolutely far and it will test my ability to make this thing flower. So please be aware of that. I did also receive a dendrodium (?) along with it that was also packaged with care and with care instructions. So I would say for the price, I would say it is very worth it.

Healthy but tiny plant.
Love orchids. Thought I ordered a reasonably-sized Vanda. It is very small, too small.

Long shipping for me, although it arrived 3 days early
I know vandas don't need a medium, but I don't have something for it yet so a medium it goes in, internet says it's fine to do so.My opinion on my first every vanda and dendrobium, absolutely tiny for 20 bucks even with the gift. A pretty full grown flowering phalaenopsis for 10 dollars at the store is a better worth but again I've never seen these 2 types so price may have been justified. Up to you, I took the chance, well see how they do, seen 1 comment say it took a year and a half for a bloom. If these do well I may even buy more. The vandas leafs have purple blotches all over the edges, haven't googled that yet, the gift dendrobium took the shipping better in my opinion, it also seems to have at least 3 offshoots, which looks like can be seperated. Big plus, they are tiny but again i do not know how large these guys get, ive only done a little research. Both had very small root system (although not sure how large the system grows) they of course had some dry and soft roots so the root system became smaller after trimming before potting. phalaenopsis is the only orchid I've ever seen so pretty excited to see how these do.Update: been a couple weeks now they are looking good. Purple spots on vanda are gone so I'm guessing lack of water, I am planing on repurchasing

Very tiny plant
This is a ridiculously small and dehydrated orchid. It’s about 3 inch tall. One leaf fell off when I pick up. I don’t know if this will thrive. I doubt it.

LOVE
I absolutely love orchids. They are my favorite plant. I already own 9, and half of those for several years and have had their second bloom-- so I know I am keeping their needs met. These are small seedlings, as expected. I understand it will be several years before they bloom... and that is why this is a very reasonable price. Adult blooming orchids would be easily double the cost.I ordered two Vanda orchids, which are rare to find. I already have one that I bought at a local orchid show, and knew what to expect. That one was blooming, and about double the size of these-- but $65. I am happy to have small cheaper plants that will grow over time. These were shipped in very well thought out packaging, much faster than expected, and in perfect condition. I also recieved a free bonus plant with each order-- I recieved a dendrobium and a cattleya-- of which I already own one of each. I am absolutely thrilled to add these to my collection.I soaked them for 15min and potted the cattleya and dendrobium, and have the two vandas hanging. They will be decorating my bathroom, and will have a grow light to support while recieving the humidity of my shower.
