VISCOUNT WHO LOVED ME MM

The Viscount and the Viscountess love Connect.
I never thought, would like the character of Anthony Bridgerton after watching the season 1 of Bridgerton and reading the book "The Duke and I" because he was a little annoying. Something inside me just always prompted, should give a try to "The Viscount who loved Me" the book, as the season 2 of Bridgerton is still under making. Then recently, bought the book on Kindle and started to read... When reading and reached half of the book, then realized why he acts in such a way.The meeting of the Viscount and the Viscountess is not like love at first sight. Their hate converts to mutual respect and understanding to friendship and love... thoughKate and Anthony has some issues on releasing Love. Even though, There is never a dull moment between Kate and Anthony when in conversation. There is something about Kate which bring out the side Anthony no one knows. 💗💗💗My high point in the book is the game of Pall Mall. Oh dear 🥰🥰🥰, as Whistledown says: "There is nothing like a spot of competition to bring out the worst in a man—or the best in a woman."When reached the end of the book, i was definitely clear in mind, that bond of Kate and Anthony Bridgerton will be indeed FOREVER for me.Though when read about Simon and Daphne, had believed they were my favorite... however it had something missing in relation with my connect to them. But when, read Kate and Anthony's romantic story. It had that missing connection with me.Still, can't say about other Bridgerton siblings love stories and if it have same or different impact towards me.So for now, am in love with 'The Viscount who loved me', the Romance is just too good and the night scene are also well described or should i say well desirable. 😁😉💗Even though can not relay how long that will stay as Julia Quinn has some kind of power to make you love those characters which one thought can never impact you.Too good!

He does not want to fall in love and she thinks she isn't worthy!
Anthony is the eldest child of Edmund & Violet Bridgerton. He grew up watching his parents completely in love with each other. The adoration that Anthony has for his father is nothing short of worship. Edmund spent time with his children all the time -- taking them for walks, showing them the acres of grounds at Aubrey Hall on his shoulders and being adorably goofy with them all the time. His parents' love grew and so did their family with Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca & Gregory coming along the way -- but Anthony was quite boastful (internally, of course) of the fact that he knew his father the longest than any of his siblings. Anthony pursued his education with vigor but their world came crashing down when he turned 18. They lost Edmund. Anthony was devastated, so was Violet (who was with Hyacinth at that time); he failed to comprehend how life could do him and his family bad like this. The adulation he had for his father pulled wool over his eyes so much that he was convinced that if his father didn’t make it to 39, neither would he. But he knew his duties towards the Bridgerton name. So, as he turned 30, he decided to get married and produce heirs to safeguard their line. His most important rule which he absolutely could not break was that he wouldn't choose someone with whom he might actually fall in love! As he has convinced himself of his mortality, he doesn't want to love anyone as it was the only thing that would make him fear his own perishability. In come, the Sheffield sisters -- Kate & Edwina. Kate is the elder sister and Edwina is her half-sister. They both live with Kate's step-mom of 18 years, Mary Sheffield and Kate's overweight corgi -- Newton. Both the sisters were forced to debut in the same season due to money constraints brought on by the passing of their father -- 5 years earlier. Edwina is traditionally beautiful - the season's incomparable; adored by the ton and sought after by all suitors. Kate considers herself not pretty and in absence of major lady-like attributes. But there is no love lost between the sisters. Kate truly loves Edwina and she in return wont marry without her sister's approval.Anthony decides to choose Edwina as his future wife but it's Kate he cannot stay away from. He finds Kate amusing and baits her constantly, enjoying her actions and reactions. Kate believes Anthony to be an irreparable rake & cannot approve his courting of Edwina. She often finds herself at the receiving end of Anthony's persistently hot mannerisms; solidifying her belief that he IS a rake, even though she can't keep her eyes off of him. She royally loathes him but, cannot how in tune they are of one another's presence. Anthony is terrified of being nice, acceptable and toward Kate as he feels the spark between them so strongly which is noticeably absent with her sister.Soon, Kate's sore opinions start to waver during the country house weekend party at Aubrey Hall; brought on by his gentlemanly actions towards her and of those in need & his regard towards his own family. She astonishingly discovers that she would like to have Anthony for herself. But, she doesn't believe Anthony would want her. She lets him know that she will no longer stop him from pursuing his sister. He is surprisingly sad by this turn of events but, my, did fate have a different plan for them!Owing to the turn of events, Anthony declares that he will marry Kate! However, the mad woman Kate still feels that she has trapped him and Edwina is in his mind. Edwina is not upset at all and is actually happy for them both! The ton sings the old song of "how the boy is better than the girl" and Kate is the recipient of the "Really? Her?" glances from the ton. But both Anthony and Kate are secretly happy. They get married with Kate knowing that love is not going to be a part of their marriage; as announced by Anthony himself. The desire overflows with them drowning in the undercurrents. Kate falls in love with Anthony for the amazing human-being he is & Anthony finds his odd convictions wavering. He concludes that despite his beliefs, he can't not fall in love with Kate. Together they cast aside their fears to dwell in their love for each other. This is a delightful tale of facing your fears, no matter how ridiculous they appear; discovering the right person at your side to overcome them and lastly, hope & happiness are always closer than we think!

Intriguing, humorous, and palpable
This is admittedly my first Julia Quinn book. I haven't read the first book in the series because I had watched the Netflix series (as a booklover, I acknowledge that's a sad excuse to not have read a book) and was reading this one as part of research for my work, which includes writing articles on Bridgerton season 2. My expectations from this book were simple: romantic comedy, period drama, and typical description of sexual encounters. I must say the book has wonderful descriptions in it so much so that I could picture it and feel it. The sex scenes were so refreshing and not a typical one. The chemistry was so palpable, I felt breathless when they felt breathless. I just fell in love with Kate and Anthony's relationship and Julia Quinn's writing ❤️

You will blush reading this book
To be honest the story in book is average compared to the show...show has more drama and character and a big climax...but the characters and their inner feeling makes it an epic book story. I finished it in two days.. i got so involved....I'll give 4/5

I like the series better than the book. Because it the series kate quite portrayed as a strong and independent women but in the books she seemed a little dependent type. Quite easily ready to open her heart . But still i lived the story..❤️

Book Review
Bridgerton: The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn - " A man with charm is an entertaining thing, and a man with looks is, of course, a sight to behold, but a man with honor - ah, he is the one, dear reader, to which young ladies should flock"5/5This book was way better than the first, proof that I finished it in 3 days which never happens. I simply couldn't put it down as it elicited an amusement going through and through. I will say there's a hint of bias as the second season of the show is also my favorite, likely because I most with Kate's character. The novel was no different in that respect. I found myself predicting what she was saying and relating it to her decisions and internal monologues. I enjoyed that this book didn't focus too much on Anthony's quest to marry Edwina. I like that the story, for the most part, focused on Kate and Anthony. I felt more chemistry between them than with the Duke and Duchess. It could be my preference of enemies to lover angles when it comes to romance than being "forced to be together because of societal rules." I mean Kate and Anthony were forced to marry after the beef fiasco but we were rooting for them to marry before that happened. The strong connection between Kate and Anthony was also the fuel to the fire. Whether it was the shared trauma the thrill of the chase, or a combination of both, it didn't make sense for them to desire anyone else. A part of me crave that scene of jealousy when Anthony falls into the lake from the show but the story worked well without it. Their singular desire made the carriage crime scene all that more impactful. There was never a temptation or a hope of loving anyone else, it was only them, and the thought of either of them losing the other drove them crazy.I saw a lot of myself and Kate and perhaps that's why this book so far is my favorite. Surprisingly, I like this book better than the season because we got to see Kate and Anthony in love. Yes, they were yearning for each other for the entire season but the end of it felt rushed and we didn't get to see much of their married life like we did with Daphne and Simon. But the book feels that Gap so for that I am grateful. However, I did like Edwina better in the show. In the book, she is presented as more gullible than Kate. It very well could be the actress's betrayal of the character that shines strength into the character on the screen and I have considered her age as the weight on her shoulders. Barry, on the other hand, the show did not do her justice. That scene with her telling Kate about her mother and the three vows she made, was moving. She reminded me of a lot of Violet and I wish we got to see those motherly moments more on the screen.Overall, I'm glad I continued with my Bridgerton Journey to the second book because it did not disappoint. This book portrayed chemistry in a way that still leaves me in awe and gives me hope for the next book. While book one was somewhat disappointing, book two comes back with a swing. It is a book I can see myself rereading in the future and for that, I am excited, because typically I would steer clear of predictable romance. So hopefully book three will uphold that standard. Now on to Benedict.....Favorite Quotes:• Weakness never got anyone anywhere.• And then there was Kate Sheffield...The bane of his existence...And the object of his desires...All at once.• It was funny, he reflected later, how one’s life could alter in an instant, how one minute everything could be a certain way, and the next it’s simply ... not• It was simple. His world was Kate. If he denied that, he might as well stop breathing right now.Favorite Characters: Kate, Anthony, Mary, Colin, Newton

Best one so far
Love love love this book! I was not able to put it down. Obviously Shonda version is better in terms of writing. But the story still is very addicting. I’m obsessed with Kathony :)
