I did a search of recommended instructions for use of this type of product ie instilling water water mixed with few drops of a wax remover, olive oil, or hydrogen peroxide. Did not work at first try but I read online that the first instillation of warm water is to loosen the blockage, so then I waited few hours and did another instillation of warm water then a few refills of water in the syringe and finally the wax blockage come out. My 15 year old daughter did great and was so happy to hear again. Was able to do the other ear with the same results. Very happy that this worked.

Update: Still great after boiling in water to sanitize. Definitely recommend.Purchased these specifically because of the tip. Wanted these instead of a neti pot to use for my children when they are congested. Tried on myself first to test out how I intended to use them and they work great. Easy to clean with dish soap and water. Going to try dropping them in boiling water to sanitize. Will follow up with updated review after seeing how they hold up in boiling water.

I've bought this type of flush before and they have 3 holes in the tip to "direct spray to ear canal" this particular unit is a single hole and fires straight and very hard especially when you think it's like the 3 hole design and put a lot of force on plunger. I gave it 3 stars because it was very affective but a warning should be placed on them as I wasn't expecting to clean both ears at the same time.

Product worked well. It is easy to clean and reassemble. 2 sizes for different ears.

The water shoots from the center

The removable tip isn't very secure, and the material (very flexible plastic) which I imagine is supposed be for comfort and to "choke" the flow of water in order to increase the cleaning effectiveness isn't that great. The point is, even with the removable tip this isn't as effective as a syringe that has a more narrow spout, fill it up with water and you could empty it really quick, meanwhile a more narrow spout would take a little longer and be more effective for ear cleaning.

I ended up getting the squirt bottle style with the flexible tube which did work very well. I had ear wax impacted in one ear to the point of 80% hearing loss and pain in that ear.
