42DD with 44" hips here, 38" waist. XXL will fit.. barely. It also won't go down to your waist. I'm 5'11" and it barely goes down to my hips. Runs very short.

Q: How durable is this jacket? Will it last longer than the fall/winter season?

Very durable. It probably weighs 8 pounds. I can see this jacket lasting for years. It's well-made. The "leather" feels super soft.

Q: What temperature would you wear this in?

Cool to cold temps would be fine, if it's super cold like 20 degrees to below zero, get something heavier.

Q: does it have real pockets?

I have the brown jacket and it did have have real pockets .
