SulkyOf America Ultra Solvy Extremely Firm & Stable Water Soluble Stabilizer, 8" by 8 yd (408-08)

I asked the question "can I draw on it?" And know one knew if I would or wouldn't be able to, and one person asked why would I want to. I was looking for a water soluble stabilizer that I could draw a pattern on for free motion stitching. And this product is absolutely perfect! Thick enough to draw a picture on and yet rinses out completely.

The product worked great and I will use it. I was disappointed on the amount of glue left on my needle.

Sulky is the only brand I use for this type of embroidery. They have many weights is stabilizer for different uses. This one, Ultra Solvy is the only one, along with one layer of fabric solvy, for free standing lace. I’ve never had issues with it. And even though there may be less expensive options out there, I will stay with this, why change something that works? There’s also several size of the roll so you can choose the right size for you hoop and not have a lot of waste. I use the pieces I’ve cut off to make a stabilizer liquid. If something needs to be a little stiffer, I can “paint” that liquid onto it and it will add stiffness to it once it dries. I would recommend this.

Embroidering heavy towels, etc is a usually a challenge, but not with this stabilizer. Just spray your sticky spray on the towel and lay a piece of this over the top, smooth it down, and embroider away. You don't need to cover the whole area, just where your embroidery will be since it can get expensive. Washes away easily.

This is a heavier weight washable stabilizer that is exactly what I needed.

This product dissolves very easily from the material.
