Good quality hardware cloth
The hardware cloth came in good form and correct size. Easy to roll out and cut with metal sheers. Thinner wire but firm and squares or cells were very small to keep critters of all types at bay. I used this hardware cloth to roll over weed cloth in my raised bed area. We have moles and voles and rabbits that I am trying to keep out.

Hardware cloth
We used this hardware cloth around the lower part of our deck patio where we have strawberries planted along a railing we built. Heavy duty, easy to cut with nippers and worked perfectly for our needs. Sturdy enough to keep critters out, but not so heavy that it wasn't easily attached with a staple gun.

Used for chicken run
Works great! Exactly what I was looking for, bought two to have leftovers just in case replacement is needed- almost a year later and it’s still holding strong! Great predator protection for our laying hens! Well packaged and well made.

Comes well packaged, easy to work with. Recommended.
This is 19 guage. A bit thinner than the other hardware cloth I'm used to, but very functional, a little easier to work with. I used it for an enclosure under a chicken coop I am building. Went in nicely. Very satisfied with it.

1/4 inch is a must to keep Chipmunks and Mice/Moles out of Garden enclosures
So found out the hard way that chicken wire or any galvanized hardware cloth larger than 1/4 inch will not keep out Chipmunks, Mice or Moles from our Garden enclosures. They scoot right through. You have to use the small 1/4 inch galvanized hardware cloth. It really does the trick. For chipmunks you need to line the bottom of the enclosure with the same galvanized cloth or they will burrow underneath, same with the moles. If you create an entirely enclosed garden like a simple taller hoop house, you will be amazed at what you can grow when the raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, deer etc cant get at the veggies. It is a whole new world in successful gardening. Designed my own hoop house and couldn't be more pleased. The Amagabeli 1/4 inch hardware cloth has held up beautifully for 7 years. This year we got 19 inches of heavy wet snow on our hoop house and our center beam sagged. We thought, oh dear, we are going to have to replace all of it. NOPE! Turns out that the wonderful hardware cloth held its own, and when we shored up the beam, it all sort of popped back into place. We had about an hours worth of smoothing a few snow dents in the hardware cloth and that's it. Just bought another roll for some new garden projects. One other thing, if deer and rabbits are decimating your young fruit trees, you can drive in solid wood/metal stakes around the trees, and attach hardware cloth to the stakes and the trees are well protected. We finally have a maturing Fuji and a young Honeycrisp apple tree using this method. Just make sure the stakes are in good and deep enough like a foot or so, and use 2 sections of the 4ft tall hardware cloth attached together ( we use galvanized wire to join them together) so that you get a circular enclosure that is about 8 feet tall. If you have really spunky deer and want to add another layer of protection, you can put fox or coyote urine granules in a baggie and attach it to the outside of the enclosure. Just poke a few little hole in the baggies. It also helps keep the raccoons at bay during harvest. Happy gardening!
