Good Stuff
This product has the best coverage. Not a 100 percent self leveling but get close to it. Dry time is fast. A little goes a long way

Great for FAUX leather too
Spray furniture with water or Mr. Clean spray so the paint sticks to faux furniture, paint 1/2 water 1/2 paint let dry, sand it down with A FINE GRAIN sandpaper till smooth to the touch, repeat these steps 2 times then let it dry, use 303 protectant spray after every step this builds a barrier, on the last step paint without any water, Mineral paint is very thick, PAINT IT like your painting a wall with good coverage. Let dry and sand it down to make smooth to the touch, spray with 303 protectorate purchased on amazon, brush was $1.98 on AMAZON, no need to peel away any material that is showing frayed in the beginning, because it will disappear when you sand it down after each coat applied, all those frays will disappear. BUT IT MUST BE CHALKBOARD MINERAL PAINT to paint a sofa or material. I ONLY USED 303 PROTECTORANT NOOOO WAX FOR MATERIAL OR FAUX LEATHER CHAIR.BUT FOR FURNITURE OR KITCHEN CABINETS I USED BEHR CHALKBOARD PAINT, SO EASY JUST lightly WIPE DOWN the cabinets WITH MR CLEAN, CLEAN FREAK SPRAY, IT COVERS GRIME & GREASE REALLY WELL.You can purchase at Home Depot regular chalk board paint they will mix whatever color you wish, for kitchen cabinets, or furniture, that's thinner than the MINERAL paint, also CHEAPER. BUT I DID USE BEHR WAX ON THE KITCHEN CABINETS, ONE CAN OF PAINT, DID ALL MY CABINETS TOP & BOTTOM AND INSIDE THE DOORS TOO. Do NOT water down the Behr paint, just use like regular paint. One can of Behr was enough for all my cabinets inside and out. I still need to finish painting the island but there's a before picture, of the cabinets before they were painted, but they were much dirtier as it was a rental before๐๐๐ But the cabinets was just regular chalkboard paint. So easy for a any furniture. The difference is in the PRICE, $25๐ for the cabinets plus add WAX and $40 for chalk board Mineral paint๐๐๐plus add 303 protectorant spay. No wax required for faux sofa chair at ALL.I find that the faux sofa material was SOFTER WITH USING THE 303 PROTECTORANT SPRAY, after it was dry, it helped build a barrier, so you can't tell where the leather was missing. I love to paint, the hardest part was waiting for material to DRY, SO I WOULD ALWAYS APPLY A COAT BEFORE I WENT TO SLEEP

Amazing product! So glad I decided to try Dixie belt chalk paint.
This is my first time using chalk paint. I decided to paint an entire oak bedroom set in the caviar paint. I love the matte finish. I love how easy it is to work with this paint. I was super impressed that I could wet my brush with just a couple spritzes of water from a spray bottle and use it with the chalk paint for thinning out a coat if I wanted to. It leaves no brush marks and is almost self-leveling. The more coats I did the better it looked. But I could have gotten away with just one or two coats. Chalk paint does take about 30 days to cure if you're not going to seal it with a poly acrylic or other type of sealant. They recommend using a wax to protect the matte finish. I tried their easy peasy spray wax, I wasn't impressed. I almost think I got a knock-off product here on Amazon. Next time I try the easy peasy spray wax I would get it from Dixie Bell's site. However the chalk paint was top-notch. You can also buy a tub of the clear or colored wax from Dixie Belle and work that into the furniture for more of a protective layer. I chose to just seal the top of my dresser vanity and nightstand with a couple layers of polyacrylic to protect it from spills and makeup. But I left the rest of those pieces as well as the headboard and footboard plane matte without polyacrylic. I also followed a YouTube tutorial on how to paint the upholstery of the vanity stool with chalk paint. Instead of having to reupholster, it gives the look and feel of a soft leather. You simply spray the fabric with water bottle to dampen it, work the chalk paint into the fabric and circular motions with the short chip brush, sand between layers, then seal it with wax. The paint does not come off on your clothes it completely dries and is soft to the touch. I highly recommend chalk paint for this use!

Easy to use
This chalk paint was easy to apply and the color is amazing. It definitely needs a couple coats of wax after application, otherwise it tends to show every fingerprint when touched.
