Absolutely the best light for planted tank
Love the quality, design, and power of this light. Im dealing with brown algae so the picture doesn’t do justice but the fish colors are popping more than usual and love the light

Poor quality
Light didn’t make it to three years old. Poor quality and all the electronics were coated in a gel so there is no chance for repair. They will charge you for the privilege if you decide to send it back for repair. For the price there are much better lights out there. Please reconsider buying this light.

Great light for planted tanks!
Great light with amazing shimmering effect. Bought 3 for my 150G along with the controller. Wish this could have the wifi control though. Expensive but worth it until now.

Love the design and features, but...
Love the design and features, but the color rendering (CRI) is very lackluster. Kessil is very proud of their "scientifically-proven spectrum" but let's be honest, it over-emphasizes yellow and brown colors. Kessil's products are a very expensive way to make any aquascape look boring or ugly.Sure, using the dongle (which I also bought...at additional cost), you can tune in the amber and red LED emitters: the red helps fill in the missing spectrum if you crank it up to 100 (maximum). However, even with the red channel maxed out, the spectrum is unbalanced if you go beyond 25 intensity on the white channel. Very disappointing. The amber doesn't contribute toward enhancing the colors in the aquarium in most situations. I generally leave the amber set to 0. The shimmer effect from having a powerful source behind a single lens is real, and I happen to like it a lot. The first few days it was super noticeable but then it becomes a pleasant background ambiance.I regret this purchase and will be disposing of it.
