They ship out of season
The corms appeared to be in good condition when they arrived but they arrived in February. These are a late summer/fall planted bulb and they shipped them in February with no guidance as to what I should do with a bulb that was shipped entirely out of season. Storing them for six months did not seem like a path to success so I planted them in a container that I could move indoors and out as temperatures dictated. I was meticulous about not letting them suffer a hard freeze. I was betting on "tricking" them into sprouting as though it were fall. They were a complete failure. In the month that they have been in the soil they have completely rotted with no signs of having ever had life. I would avoid buying from this company. If they were truly interested in the gardener's success they wouldn't be shipping product so far out of season. Very disappointing.

Flower bud is not opening!
The bulbs looked very healthy and started growing right after I planted indoors. Within 2 weeks a flower bud showed up I was very excited but it didn't open even after waiting for a week. Now it looks dried up. I am not sure why it is happening, may be old bulbs or improper chilling method.

Still hopeful
The only reason I give this 4 stars is the instructions appear overly simple. I planted these and thought they had rotted and died on me. All the corms that carried over have been quite small. I hope they will flower this year, but I'm not very confident.

Perfectly Lovely
The bulbs arrived promptly and were very large. I planted them in pots on a sunny windowsill in potting soil mixed with some peat. Some of the bulbs had little sprouts already upon arrival. Within five days of planting I had my first blossom! Very vigorous bulbs. I picked my first three saffron threads from that blossom. Now there are more blossoms opening up just three days later. I wanted to plant them in pots this first time so when I transfer them later to the outside flower bed, I can see the new baby bulblets that the first mama bulbs produce. I would highly recommend these bulbs. Plant them promptly and make certain the soil is good and moist before planting. I'm looking forward to many years of my own saffron. Thank you!

In perfect condition
I’m excited to grow saffron, the bulbs look healthy and ready to plant, it’s hard to get high quality bulbs up here in Alaska 🙃

Started to grow, then vanished.
Planted all 20+ bulbs in six containers in early spring outside. Bulbs all sprouted and put out thin vegetation as described. Containers in dry, covered area for summer. Seemed to do fine all summer with the thin foliage from each bulb growing, then slowly fading; and protected from excessive rain, sun, etc. Yesterday I dug through the containers and there were no bulbs. Animals did not eat them. Containers have been completely undisturbed and under security cameras. The bulbs just rotted away.
