Quake Kare 2400 Calorie Emergency Food Bar

These are, in my humble opinion, the very best emergency rations from a taste, value, and nutritional perspective. I wouldn’t consider anything else. Not to mention the companies wonderful social impact. I hope they never stop manufacturing these. I did have some issues with product damaged in shipping, but the seller (Lighthouse for the Blind - St. Louis — specifically Dan) was extremely helpful and offered top notch customer service in getting me a replacement. Great experience, highly recommend both the product and the seller.

I opened a package to taste it, and then I vac sealed it again. It's pretty good, definitely edible. It tastes like a shortbread cookie, but a little less sweet. More on the flour side. I've read that they dont make these bars taste wonderful because we shouldn't gorge ourselves on them. They're just meant to have a 400 calorie square for a survival meal, and then save the rest for later. The packages I received expire in 4.5 years. That's fine since they will generally last a lot longer than that if kept cool. This is a good buy, I would buy these again.

In high stress situations, you need fast carbs for energy or keeping warm. But these will not make you full or stop hunger. You will need a brush your teeth and take a anti gas pill after eating. But a still useful. Very energy dense, very fast carbs with some fat and protein.I keep two in my car, a few mre's. Along with more filling food (Whey, oats)

Tastes great and fits into your 72 hr kit better.

Shipped quickly and was packaged well. Didn't taste test, but other reviews for the similar 3600 calorie bar said they were pleasantly surprised. Course this is for emergency use, so taste isn't super important so long as it isn't vile. I'll use this for my To Go and my To Get Back Bags, but supplemented with some Millennium bars or survival tabs for further nutrition and calories. For the price and compared to others, fantastic.

Received 3/5 with broken vacuum seals. Reported to the seller and Henry responded within one day and offered a solution and replacement quickly. They replaced all 3 items with bad seals. Tasted one with the bad seals and its very sweet like a sugar cookie. At the price offered i don't see why not to get these. Issues happen with shipping these types of items .

Came in a timely manner. Vacuum sealed. No visible issues. Will not open until needed.
