Defective cart handle
Cart handle was defective when purchased -- doesn't fit. Submitted a warranty claim but there has been no response yet.7-7-2020 ... The first warranty claim was responded to after about 10 days. It included a photo of the defective cart handle, a copy of original purchase receipt, and a clear description, this resulted in Dockedge sending two "Toon Fenders" ("Toon Fenders" are an accessory for docking pontoon boats). "Toon Fenders" are probably more valuable than a cart handle -- UNLESS YOU NEED A CART HANDLE. There was no response to a second warranty claim. Apparently, the warranty on this cart is not worth much.

Sharp jagged metal
Our new smart cart is a addition to our nearly 20 year old Tipke Fold-it aluminum cart. They are both constructed different the smart cart is welded together and our old Tipke cart is riveted. Not sure which is stronger they are both all aluminum except they both have handles made from steel. Neither cart has or will be used in a marine environment mostly used as a garden cart. The new Smart cart is a little larger and is higher off the ground which I like better. I like a aluminum cart better for our use than a steel or poly plastic cart. Our old aluminum cart has lasted about 20 years don't think a steel or poly plastic cart would have lasted as long by what I have read in their reviews the steel framing rusts or the poly plastic cracks over time. The Tipke Fold-it cart is made in USA the Smart cart is made in China. Have decided to return it because of sharp jagged edges of metal. It has some good features but do not want to take the time to go over it with a file to smooth out the sharp edges.

Great - except
Assembles readily. Sturdy. Large capacity and you might overload it. Takes the weather here in Florida without problems. The excepts - this is a replacement for the original that was stolen. The difference is the original had solid tires and this has pneumatic. Don't look forward to constant tire pressure checks. The outriggers on this cart, which lend to its strength mean it cannot pass through a normal door. That limits somewhat the overall usefulness of the cart.

A smooth rolling functional dock cart
My initial reaction was not great. The packaging was damaged but the cart was not. It is not highly engineered and some minor filing was needed to get the handles to fit together properly. We leave the cart unfolded all of the time. It would probably be somewhat inconvenient if we had to fold it up after every use. The knob that fastens the handle together is a little annoying as it lies where one grips the handle. However, It works really well. It is well balanced and carries a full load down to the dock, over some grass and a few steps with ease. It is easy to maneuver and rolls easily. It has stood up well to the elements for a season with only minor rust on the non aluminum metal parts. I'll fold it up for winter storage.

Useful but flawed
Whoever the genius is that thought they could fold this thing up and throw it into a rather large cardboard box was fooling themself. The plastic knobs were the main victims of this foolishness. One is already broken, the others will likely break if they get much use.If the knobs were removed from the unit and put into a bag, and plastic wrap was wound around the unit, it would survive shipping much better. That being said, it is utilitarian and does the job of carting things around. And I guess for the price I can buy some extra knobs at Lowe's, but it wasn't a good box opening experience.

Measurements are confusing and misleading
The description said this was 25" wide, but that is just the cart box. The real width, including wheels and hardware is 36" I bought this and another one because I thought this was smaller and I wanted to compare. But they were virtually identical except for the wheels and a few screws. That cart itself looks good, so the 4 stars.
