I installed this receptacle behind my wall mounted TV. I liked that it was black so that it would blend in more with the mount and the cords. I hope that I will never need to utilize the "surge protector" function but I do appreciate the light on the outlet to tell me its "protected."The product picture makes it look like the wall place is also a matte black color but in reality it is a glossy black with the outlet itself is matte.

Good quality receptacle. Description said face plate is included. It was not. The seller on my order was HillyardACE. I contacted the seller and have received no reply.

I needed Surge protection for my refrigerator. The computer in the fridge died most likely because of a power surge according to the Internet. A new computer was a few hundred dollars so I bought this surge supresser as a little insurance. So far no issues.

Did a little upgrade in our living room and decided to ditch the nasty, old, plastic outlet plates. These really dressed things up. They look fancy, but are very sturdy and economical.

This is the exact same one that I bought from Home Depot last year (bought one in the store, and one on Amazon) -- definitely a quality product. Includes a faceplate which is nice (one less thing to buy). Very easy to setup otherwise, no surprises. Works good in one of my rooms where we needed surge protection for several devices, but couldn't install a bulky surge strip.
