Best mounts for iPad around!
I bought this and the accompanying mount for holding my ipad on my boat as I'm using that as a chartplotter. This thing is awesome. It holds my ipad securely and the mount takes up any shock from big waves hitting the boat underway. I've had it on 6 trips now and its a winner. The spring tension is just right. Holds the tablet very well yet you don't need to wrestle it open. I have my ipad in a lifeproof nuud case and there's plenty of room. Great product at a good price!

works with ipad armor
If you have a Ipad that has thick body armor, this is the tablet holder for you. My ipad with armor is .9in thick and it slipped right into the holder. I iuse it on a tripod and with other RAM accessories it is secure and ready. It also un installs from the tablet mount in seconds. A very good product.

Works prefect with iPad 3 w/ LIfeproof case!
We are using this cradle with the RAM-B-138U mount on our center console boat and it holds our iPad 3 with a Lifeproof case on it perfectly! We use the iPad for our chart plotter and other data with the iNavx app. Very strong hold, the device, mount, and cradle are definitely not going anywhere! Very easy to install and remove the tablet from the spring loaded cradle! Excellent design!! Hold is very strong but takes 2 seconds to remove the tablet. Perfect for non-permanent solutions when you need an extremely stable and durable mount. Highly Recommend this mount!!!
