Great , Quality genuine Toyota ( 77310-48020 ) Fuel Tank Cap Assembly !
Great , quality genuine TOYOTA ( 77310-48020 ) Fuel Tank Cap Assembly for my 1999 TOYOTA CAMRY CE . I had a constant CHECK ENGINE LIGHT on my dash display for a few months ! I was told by my father and also had read that it could be caused by an old , faulty gas tank cap that leaked gas vapour . I also read here on Amazon reviews for this gas cap that other causes for the check engine light could also be : 1. The battery might be weak , 2. The FUEL CAP MIGHT LEAK THE GAS ( VAPOUR ) , 3. May need to clean , or replace the EGR Vacuum modulator , 4. May need to clean the EGR Valve , and 5. May need to replace the EGR Vacuum switch Valve ( VSV ) . I am so glad the the first step worked !!! I purchased this gas cap on amazon.ca for a great low price , discount price ... $ 30 and change plus tax with free shipping ! At first even though the gas tank cap fit perfectly , clicked and wasn't faulty .... it seemed that sadly it did not solve the problem ! I was becoming convinced that I might need to check the other possibilities with my mechanic ! But ... to my great surprise , AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS OF FILLING MY TANK WITH GAS ... THE CHECK-ENGINE LIGHT FINALLY , TO MY GREAT PLEASURE AND RELIEF ... FINALLY WENT OFF !!! It seemed to go off finally about 2 weeks approximately after I purchased this new gas cap and put it on my car !!! GREAT ! THANKS VERY MUCH AMAZON for the help !! I appreciate it !! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GAS TANK FUEL CAP TO ANYONE HAVING A CHECK-ENGINE LIGHT AS A FIRST OPTION ! Hey , it worked great for me , might work for you friends ! Can't lose ! I'm pleasantly satisfied !!!

Solved my check engine light problem!
I'm happy I made this purchased. Had this error code. Reading on my ODB scanner. Did a Google search, most likely was the fuel cap. And voila! Worked!

Always buy original parts
Fits as expected. Genuine toyota part. Toyota sealed. Don't listen to the people on hear saying it smelled like gas or they were sent a aftermarket parts. Totally BS reviews. Clearly they just wanted money back and sent their aftermarket crap back to amazon I bet. I was almost hesitant because of this but I figured if it was the case I would be refunded. The reason I bought this was because after all the years of dropping my gas cap on my 98 4runner a few days ago I knocked. It off my fuel door holder and it got the ground and I broke a chunk out of the threaded part of my original cap. Works great! Tight seal, allows 3-4 clicks and that's all.. I can tell a huge difference when I screw this new one on. My last one would click forever this one stops. So happy! Take it from me a die hard toyota lover spend the money on this genuine part. Note aftermarket caps will not always give a proper seal and can cause a check engine light

Actually works!!
I kept having an engine light come on my Tundra and the code was some weird evap code. I took it to the mechanic who did a smoke check and it was inconclusive. He told me to try a new gas cap. So I bought one, reset the code, and about 1 week later it popped on again. Back to the mechanic. Another smoke test. Inconclusive. Said it was probably my gas cap. Told me to buy an oem gas cap. I bought this one and it works perfectly.
