I have a two-year-old and he can be a little picky sometimes when it comes to his utensils. He would often pick out the macaroni from the mac & cheese, or the little pieces of meat from us, too. So these little animals make it super easy for him to practice his pincer grab and also eat all of his food. I think these little animals make it so much more fun for him to eat. He has become much more independent eating since I got these. They were recommended to me by my cousin who has a baby, the same age as mine and they have honestly been a lifesaver. I know he even takes good care of them because I sent him to daycare with with his lunch bag and fruit, chopped up and ready to go, and he comes back with all of them.

The set comes with 30 different animals, but honestly, I only use the elephant and giraffe since they’re the most practical for picking up food. They’re made from BPA-free plastic, and they’re super easy to rinse off after each use.Just a heads-up – there are no returns, probably because they’re meant for food. The only reason I’m rating this product 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because, for some reason, the giraffe looks to me like it has a sad or serious mouth line, and I can’t unsee it. It’s a little odd to me, but my son doesn’t notice or care, so it is what it is. Even though I don’t need all of them, he loves the fun designs, and they make lunchtime a little more exciting, so I’m happy with the purchase!
