Perfect to curb "I forgot my pencil" from students
A few years ago I went through 20 boxes of 1 dozen pencils in my classroom (I know this because I had bought them all myself and ran out with about 6 weeks of school left). I don't want kids to not do work because they have nothing to write with so I just sucked it up and kept buying pencils. Eventually I decided to buy a box of golf pencils simply because they were cheaper and I could buy more pencils with my own money. These work great, students are able to do their work but they almost always remember to return my pencils. I now leave a little cup of them out for students to use when they need them with no worries that I'll run out. The students don't really like using them so I find that they'll either remember to bring their own (or in some cases overcome their laziness and go look through their backpack for their own) or they'll work hard to borrow one from a friend before resorting to my golf pencils. I purposely do not buy the type with erasers because that is a huge component to them disliking these pencils.I have to say my plan worked and I won't go back. I went from giving away 240 pencils in one school year to the next year still having half of the box of golf pencils left! I can generally get 2 school years out of one box of 144 pencils. I call it a win kids have the supplies they need, and I have more money now to spend on other supplies for my classroom.

Freat for little hands
These are great for my special education students who love to eat erasers...

Love them, students don’t
I think these are great; I don’t have to waste a whole pencil on students who will usually not return them when finished. My students do not care for these due to the short stature and no eraser. Well, I’m short of stature, but full of knowledge to train them in skills, so don’t judge. It still fits their hands without the extended tail waving around that will end up in the parking lot or trash at the end of the day. Also, in high school, you don’t need an eraser in English. You need editing symbols. While I prefer pens, these work great and when they wander away and don’t come back, I still have plenty left and don’t feel sad about the cost. I just imagine that these little pencils end up assisting them in math.

Excellent solution to the students who never "have" a pencil
I buy a gross or two of these pencils every year for my classroom. I keep 5-10 in a cup in the front of my room. Students know these pencils are there for free use if they don't have a pencil of their own. I like that for the price, I can send the needy student along to the next class with the pencil so that the cycle doesn't repeat over again for the next teacher. Some students return them, and with a hand-held sharpener, you can get about 2-4 uses from each pencil. The lack of an eraser may be a problem to some teachers, but I find that it keeps the tiny pencil from being desirable (meaning it discourages students who are just being too lazy to dig a pencil out of their own bag from using it out of convenience, since they really want a proper eraser). Of course, we teachers know when a student is actually needy and would provide proper pencils to those students, but I find this is a cheap and convenient solution to the ones who just won't keep up with a pencil or are too lazy to find their own. No more daily new pencil giveaways and no more hassle of getting the pencils returned!

What we needed
I work for a radio station and we were going through a lot of pens at events. They either dry up or walk away which leaves us scrambling for something for people to write with for contest entries at concerts. These have perfectly fit the bill. The point stays nice for a long time and is easy to sharpen when dull. Very good price.

Purchaser for my preschooler
I counted exactly 150 pencils. I purchased for my preschooler. We homeschool and i read that these are great for young children. No erasers, no distractions and small for their little hands. Just what I wanted.

Great Value - Buy A Set of Erasers to Go With It!
I'm a homeschooling mom of four kids -and we go through pencils like water! I love these golf pencils bc they are just the right size for my children's small hands. In the past, I've bought golf pencils WITH erasiers, but they are about 3 to 4 times the cost per pencil - so this time, I just bought an inexpensive pack of erasers to stick on the end. Voila! The cost was still much cheaper and we got way more pencils! What a value - Love these! Very sharp and great for school work!

Great for Events!
I bought this for my workplace as I work in events. We do A LOT of giveaways and enter-to-win contests with ballots that need to be filled out, but our pens always tend to walk away with the person. I decided to buy this in hopes people don't tend to steal golf pencils. They do the job, and nobody takes them! Can be reused until a sharpening is needed, and makes things a lot easier for us. Great price for the amount in a package. We will have these pencils for a while. Highly recommend.

I use these pencils to put in geocache containers, just the right size and the right price. They could be sharper though.
Great product for the price
