This fits my Tamron 18-400 lens, but won't invert over it
The original hood would screw on the lens backward to make it easy to carry, even with a UV filter on it to protect it. This one does not allow you to turn it around backwards to attach it, so it works, but is not quite as good as the original. Still, I'm happy to have something I can use.

I have been disappointed in the thetulip shows in my photos. Can’t seem to get it tightly screwed on without being in the photos

i shouldent complain because the lens and hood werent a matched set.
it was loosethe threads on the locking ring that came on the hood was loose,when you try to tighten i ti would jusst slip by.

A lens cover makes a considerable difference that blocks light glare that can distort the image although the only issue I have with this plastic one is screwing on to the lens, I know that soon I’ll be cross threading it since the threads are so fine, I recommend a click on type that can swivel around the lens for better positioning instead of screwing or unscrewing it
