Have to admit, I was not expecting that this would work. Bought last year when my vacuum hose started to split. Ordinarily would have just bought a new hose, but the quality of the hoses that I was looking was/is garbage. So purchased this just in case and has been sitting in my tool box for over a year.Well my hose tip (to vacuum head) finally broke off entirely when opening my pool. Had this installed in less than 5 minutes and it works perfectly.

For my old vacuum hose perfectly! Cut the old ends off, screwed these right on.Worth getting these instead of an entirely new hose.

The standard blue/black vacuum hose that I have is at least 10 yrs old. The hose end fittings dried with age and cracked, the hose hasn't. These fittings are a perfect fit replacement. It's not necessary to apply any sealant to the hose or fitting as the original hose fittings were installed. Tighten them as much as you can by hand. They will not come off. If, for any reason, you need to shorten the hose, you can easily remove your new fitting and reuse it.

By replacing the ends of my pool pump hose I was able to save it and saving me a lot of money. It works just like new.
