Super versatile; would recomend if you don't mind gaps in the cornors
I'm a commuter college student, and I carry one binder with everything I need for the week in my book-bag. I wanted something to put bus schedules in. This works for what I needed it for, but I only needed one. So, I was looking for alternative uses for the other 9 pockets. Manuals and extra chords fit decently well. Sewing patterns fit too. I'd recommend 1 per pocket if you couldn't get the pattern back in the envelop it came in. Alternatively, you could put two patterns back-to-back if you could fit the pattern in the original envelop. In the end, I settled on putting my comic books in the pockets. I had my comic books in regular page protector sheets (they were also protected by Mylar bags with acid free backing boards), but I wasn't happy with that arrangement; there was a ton of wiggle room and they shifted a lot. Here are the pros and cons of putting comic books in these pockets:Pros:+ Since the pockets Velcro shut, you won't have to worry about your comics falling out.+ If you don't have space for a comic book box, you can use these to put your comic books in a binder.+ I don't know what the weight limit is, but it's more than a standard sheet protector, so they don't get weighted down by the comics when you pull the binder off the shelf.+ You can fit up to 8 comics in the pocket comfortably and have the Velcro overlap perfectly.Cons:- If you put more than two comics back-to-back in these pockets, you can't see which volumes are in it. [That being said, you could put a list of missing comics in the front of your binder and otherwise organize the comics in groups of 5, which is what I did for a series with 35 volumes.]- There are gaps in the corners so dust or water can get in.- They're not going to protect against sun damage since they're clear.Overall, I'd say it's a good storage option for casual comic collectors, especially if you don't have enough comics to fill or the space for a comic book box. Anyone who's super serious about their collection will probably want the comic book boxes though.

Wonderful Organizational Tool
I discovered these years ago and was flabbergasted that they're not readily available or easily found (probably because the various manufacturers use different product type names). This is the best way I've found to organize the paperwork related to yearly taxes, quarterly expenses, recipes, anything! I use them with 3 inch, 3 ring binders and it solves a lot of problems. I deducted a star because they won't close if you're also using file folders (for instance, I would separate various drafts of my work into dedicated folders and then place all the drafts of a certain topic into one of these envelopes) so I've had to devise another way to delineate items within the envelope itself. (The only other version I've found that can accommodate file folders AND has a wider gusset (1.25 inches) is by Smead: Inndura Three Ring Envelopes https://www.amazon.com/Smead-Three-Ring-Envelope-Expansion-89500/dp/B001GXDW3W but a few reviews will attest that there is an intermittent issue with the velcro tabs not holding up to extensive use. Still and all it's the one I prefer because I've only ever had an issue with one of their closures and I'd like to have the option to utilize file folders.) Hope this helps!

Okay - but a tight fit for letter size inserts
I find pockets like these to be very useful. I'm partial to the clear ones, but the color pockets make it easy for you to color code your files. Be sure to double check the quantity - when I placed my order I got 10 clear pockets per package. Each package cost $10.00 - and it was well worth the money. These pockets are a good weight. However, you should keep the following in mind:1. They will hang out of a binder that has less than a 2" capacity.2. They will block tabs in any size binder.3. These particular pockets are a tight fit for 8 1/2 X 11 sheets - the 11" direction is fine but the 8 1/2" direction has only 1/8" clearance, so when you're adding additional sheets they will catch on the gusset. The solution for this would be to remove everything from the pocket and jog all the sheets and return them to the pocket at one time - while holding the gusset open. This will help to keep your sheets aligned. (If whatever you're putting in the pocket is smaller than 8 1/2 X 11, this point is moot.)4. If you overfill the pocket, the flap won't fold over enough for the two pieces of Velcro to stick. This type of pocket does come in a slightly wider size (made by Smead - No. 89500), IF your binder can accommodate it. The pocket is 9" wide - not inclusive of the hole punched lip.

A game changer!!
Eight classes. Numerous novels and composition books to take for each. This solved a huge inconvenience for my student. In each binder, I put one or two of these to carry the novel or composition book needed for each class. Use this, and your student will not waste time going back to a locker, or back to the school at night, to get what they need. It’s a game changer, and I don’t even care that these could be sturdier. It’s used daily by a busy student, so naturally I wouldn’t expect it to last more than a semester. For the low price and the incredible convenience, I will be ordering many more. One thing to note: I’m told the Velcro is very loud when the latch is opened, so it’s very strong. I may look for a quieter snap-button version of this, but am very happy with this in the meantime. Would definitely recommend.

Very convenient
I love these bags, with the velcro is very convenient. The gusset expands to 1 Inch for additional document storage is amazing, so I can put more papers in and not worry it will bend. It can even fit a bunch of items in, without scratching the interior or break open. Overall, will repurchase it again when needed.

Fantastic Envelope Binder Inserts
This is exactly what I wanted. Stronger than sheet protectors and holds smaller size paper items that fall out of sheet protectors. I like that they are clear and open from the side with velcro closure. I use them in my recipe binder, user manual binders, coupon binder and software/CD user binders. I liked it so much, I ordered another set.
