Works perfect
I have this canister filter on my 10 gallon tank and it works perfect. I’ve had it hooked up for about a month now and there have been no leaks , very easy to set up and the flow adjuster is awesome. I love the fact that I can change the flow of the water. I don’t know what else to add except I’ve had no problem with this filter. I love it and if I choose to upgrade my 10 gallon to a 30 gallon or 40 gallon I can use the same filter I love it

Canister is great, attachments are cheap
I have had this canister for several months and the actual filter works great. I have it on my 11 gallon long. My problem is with the inflow tube. It cracked after a couple of days. I kept it going by gluing it, but now it has fallen apart. I just bought a rigid pipe and a new inflow screen and I have crafted my own replacement. I contacted Finnex to buy a replacement intake flow and they responded quickly, but told me they didn’t know when or if they would get in spare parts. They told me to make my own. Not very good service, so I have only given them 3 stars. Will update if I have any more issues.

Good quality
Very happy with the purchase. No issues after three weeks. Nice filter to use. If you don’t wanna use a hang on the back filter for a smaller aquarium.

Works great as an external canister filter
I have this setup as an external canister filter for my 9 gallon neocaridina shrimp tank. It's under my tank and in the cabinet. It works great and I have no problems with suction or the water being pushed through the lines. I wanted a clean looks, so I did not use any of the additional parts that came with the filter. I bought a glass 12/16mm spin pipe set. I purchased an additional matching valve control for ease of maintenance, the exact same piece that came in the box is made by Ista. You can use any other valve of your choice but I preferred a matching look. The noise level of my filter is ultra low and I can barely hear it inside of my cabinet when I'm next to it.One thing to be wary of, is the ceramic rings that came with this set. I have learned that low quality bio media can leach. I soaked the media for a few days and tested the KH. The KH came back at 4 dKH! This would not work for my shrimp tank, altering the water parameters. I do not know if it's a temporary leach or a constant leach but it was not worth the risk. I decided to go with the pot scrubbers route. This also allows water to flow much more freely and put less stress on the pump. I also did not use the included floss and carbon combo. I just shoved my poly-fil above the sponge as my polishing element. When priming, the canister needs to be full, to the brink of water being pushed as you put the cap back on.I did have the minor leak on first startup, like another reviewer, but then it stopped. I think the gasket might not have seated properly, even after putting on food grade silicone lubricant. It stopped leaking very shortly after it got up and running. Hasn't leaked since but I'm keeping an eye on it. Spare parts for this is a bit tough.. there does not seem to be anywhere you can buy Finnex branded, aside from replacement cartridges. However you can buy UNS Delta 60 parts, including gaskets and impeller, which is the name brand recolored version of this filter (same head/motor/pump but smaller UNS Delta 30 body).Overall I'm really satisfied with this, even after spending a bit more to make it what I want. It made a difference in my tank, clearing up all the free floating particulates and polishing the water well (minus the light tannins). Hoping this filter holds up!

Extremely Quiet but Leaking Right Out of the box with missing parts
The media could not be loaded. Bad quality control, multiple parts are missing from the box, which I was still able to manage it to setup and run for my 7.5gal tank.Very quiet, very nice strong flow, but seal is not good as it is leaking from the top lid ring sides, where it sits on the bottom canister.

So far so good!
I was hesitant to purchase this unit vs the PX-360 which had far more favorable reviews. This filter is supposed to be the upgraded version of the 360, so I took a chance. Other reviewers have noticed leaking but my unit has been leak free thus far. Another reviewer had issues with pump failure but again, no issues thus far. It has only been running for about 24 hours as of this writing so only time will tell if there are truly any quality control issues. So far, it has been excellent, there’s plenty of flow. At max, it’s actually way too much flow for my 11 gallon long tank, and one of the reasons I chose this over the PX-360 was it’s adjustable flow valve. Otherwise, I’m happy so far with this purchase. Will update should any issues arise.Edit: 2 weeks later, still no issues! No leaking. Combined with the right bio and chemical medias, this filter makes my water crystal clear, like my fish are floating in air!

Change in design problems
I had read the other reviews and purchased it assuming the change in design would not affect the performance of the filter element. At first I was happy and believed it was just as good as the original with the pressed ring built in. It's not, I now understand the purpose of that seemingly useless ring. The ring keeps the filter element material down off the suction hole in order to allow the entire filter element surface to filter. After installing this element my filter runs fine for a week or two and then degrades in performance until barely a dribble is coming out the spray head. Upon opening the filter the element is almost all white, except for one clogged circle where the pressed ring should be. I haven't found any of the original design so there is no option other than this design, but I solved the problem. I took a piece of pcv pipe a bit larger than the suction hole and drilled holes all the way around it as close together as I could in a ring pattern. Then I cut that ring off and inserted it as a spacer between the element and filter housing. It's maybe an 1/8th inch tall(maybe a little taller) so the holes are small but they opened up most the side of the ring still. It works great now, and the tank stays as clear as it used to.

Best Canister for 10-20 gallon tanks!
I needed a cannister for a 10 gallon tank that had cyanobacteria due to low flow from a cheap filter. This works great. Only real option for smaller tanks, (very similar to UNS Delta offerings but without the fancy extra bits). Got rid of my cyano in a week. Works great.
