Objectif incroyable, très peu d'aberration, finition parfaite

The lens arrived well protected in its packaging. The lens itself is fantastic. No regrets. It will serve me for many years hopefully.

Hesitated to buy this, even though I needed a long tele. Much prefer fixed focals, coming from the old Zuiko line of the 80's. Wow! This lens is perfect in every regard. Chinced on the "grey market" version thinking it would not get much use. I am constantly swapping between this lens and the 8mm fish! And the macro side of the lens is very sweet. Go...

If, like me you have always purchased reasonable but cheaper lenses then I urge you to splash out. I use this lens on my OMD E-M5. The lens is beautifully made, very well designed, fast, a joy to use and produces images with a sharpness and clarity that I have never experienced before. At the knock-down price it is a bargain. I don't think I will ever buy another cheap lens. Highly recommended.ProsBuild quality is superb and it feels as though it will take a few knocks and last a life-time.Usability is superb and it is a joy to use. The focus ring is smooth and well weighted and the ability to switch to manual focus by just sliding the focus ring is such a bonus. The zoom ring is again is smooth and well weighted.The lens is heavy but is very well balanced when attached to a camera.Sharpness is fantastic with little or no visible lens aberrations unless you look really intently at the images.Fast at F2.8 so low light and fast action shots are easier to nail.Has a separate function button (but may need a camera firmware update to be usable)Weather resistant and good in very low temperatures.Lens does not externally extend on zooming. So you don't have to lock it when on your shoulder or find it has extended on its own accord.ConsLens hood is good and I like thew idea of having it slide down the lens, however it can drop off easily and is the only aspect that feel a little flimsy.It is heavy and fairly large so not as travel friendly.Need to invest in a heavy duty shoulder strap.

En fotografía FF con la D3 tuve un Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR II y tras probar este Olympus 40-150 f2.8 Pro (equivalente en 35mm a un 80-300 f2.8) quedé maravillado por la altísima calidad, impresionante rapidez de enfoque y por su nitidez aparte de su luminosidad en toda la focal a f2.8.Personalmente creo que es uno de los mejores objetivos telezoom que hay en el mercado y seguramente el mejor para m4/3 en dicho tramo. A pesar de todo, tiene un tamaño contenido y un peso adecuado sin olvidarnos lo que tenemos: y es que un f2.8 se mire por donde se mire, tiene que ser grande.Solo para hacer una idea, el cuerpo E-M5 Mark II junto con el Olympus-Zuiko 12-40 f2.8 Pro y el Olympus-Zuiko 40-150 f2.8 Pro pesan lo mismo que mi anterior Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR II dándome la misma calidad que me daba mi anterior equipo FF (del que conservo la D3 sin los objetivos Pro).
