Its not a toech but a carbon arc gouger. Thickness depends on how much amps your machine can feed it. It breaks 5/32" rods at the pinch point.

Hello; sorry that I can't help you out, did buy the same unit ,but didn't use it much ,because my welder couldn't take the high amps, keep blowing the breaker...good luck...thanks....Norm

This Gouging Torches comes without cable. If your cable has the correct connector to the machine, then it can be used.
