It helps a lot for the basement. It's small and has a good container for water. In addition, it can be connected directly to a drain to facilitate the flow of water. Easy to handle. We had others in the past but this one exceed our expectations. In the video you will see how compact it is and the hose behind can be place in a drain to avoid having to empty the container regularly.

Very impressed
After my basement had some flooding, I ran this for about a week straight, only turning it off to empty out the reservoir and I was very impressed by how much water and dampness it took out of the environment. I think it was a very good purchase and I’m quite happy with it

Quietly does its job
Old dehumidifier operating in a large crawl space subject to water seepage during spring thaw died. Unlike the old one, this unit cannot be heard in the bedroom situated directly above the crawl space. Yes, the water reservoir is on the small side. Not an issue since running in continuous drain configuration, water is directed to a condensation pump which discharges to a sump pit 80 feet away. After several months of operation now, I can say I'm very pleased with how well unit maintains humidity level in the crawl space.

So far, so Good
I live in a mobile home, so humidity build up is a problem and mould growth is hard to control. A dehumidifier is a must-have.First, I'm going to compare this to my old dehumidifier that was fifteen years old:It's way more quiet. It moves more easily, so I can take it from room to room.I can clean the filter, which is a great plus, I think my old one was spewing mould spores. It doesn't send out heat while running, so it's not warming up the house more in the summer. It's easier to empty the water tank.My only cons to this are: it's not EnergyStar certified, so I don't know yet what effect it'll have on my electric bill. The tank is a bit smaller than I expected. I thought 50 pints sounded a good size, but it's not. So, I'll need to empty it more frequently. The electrical cable could be a bit longer. At this point, I haven't tried the drying feature, but that could come in handy in the winter. I won't be using the hose drain attachment, so I can't speak to that. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase. Only time will tell if it's a really good product in the long term.
