Quality tires
Great quality tires. Have had Continentals on my Schwinn bikes since the 70’s and on my old 1972 BMW motorcycle.

Sturdy city riding tires
These tires are extremely sturdy with an aggressive tread. The steel rim bands add durability. Tread wear is very long. A fantastic tire that I have become quite fond of for the variety of terrains that one comes upon during inner city riding.

Difficult to mount on rims
The tires shipped from The Netherlands so it took several weeks for them to arrive. The tires were purchased for a vintage road bicycle and they ride nice. The tread is somewhat aggressive so they will also work on light gravel. A nice feature is the reflective band that circles the tire on each side near the rim.The tires are difficult to mount though and require tire levers to remove and install. You will need at least two tire levers as well as some muscle strength. This difficult mounting issue has also been noted in other on-line postings. After holing two inner tubes during installation with the tire levers, I decided not to inflate the tube at all (tube directions said to inflate slightly for form), but pushed them in a flat state as high into the tire as possible. The last portion of the installation was still a bit dicey, but it is easier to see that the tire lever ends and tire bead are not pinching the tube (a positive to holing --- you can practice your tire patching skills). I actually kind of dread having to remove the tire and replace the tube, especially if on a long ride in some remote area. It’s unfortunate, but it has not been easy to find thick 27 x 1.25 inch inner tubes but if you can, the better to prevent holing. Likely 700c inner tubes would work also and there might be more thickness options.

I've run these before.
These are the best - low rolling resistance & excellent puncture protection.

Extra tread protection gives more confidence but hard to mount
I installed a pair of Continental Ride Tour 32-630 Tires on my 1974 Jeunet bicycle a month ago, and, after about 200 miles, I find them satisfactory. The extra tread protection gives me more confidence when riding on gravel like surfaces than the previous road tires I used. And they look nice. However, as others have mentioned, they are very difficult to mount. I have measured their inside diameter as 625 mm rather than the 630 mm specification for 27” road tires. In-fact they are closer to 700c tires (622 mm) than 27” tires, which explains why they are so hard to mount. By comparison, other tires I have used, such as Kenda K35 and the original Hutchinson tires, measure close to the specified 630 mm inside diameter. The Continental Ride Tour are also narrower, at 28 mm, than the 32 mm labelled width (mounted on my 18 mm RIGIDA rims).
