I tried googling. Looks like they might be made, as one would think in Japan. But I also saw links suggesting China and Pakistan. So I'd recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to find out.

Q: Any issues with the colored finish chipping or tarnishing (gold/black/green/etc)??

I got silver and I haven't had a problem. I've had them several years and love them. I only cut my own hair
