Do the trick
Bought for a boxing mad nephew. He uses them frequently and states the effect is brutal. One kilo-ish/2ibs may not sound or feel like much but when used during sparring the effects are palpable. They fit well, contain iron sand which moulds itself quite well to his hand, and seem robust. He's been using them everyday for a few months now and they've held up well.

Love
These are the best gloves I have used just wish they did heavier ones

One size fits all?
The only issue I have with these gloves is the fact that (at time of writing) they only come in one size. I'm male, but I don't have particularly large hands (21cm around the palm) and these gloves are fairly tight, despite being made of stretchy material. If you are blessed with hands like proverbial shovels you might have a problem getting them on and off.

One of the best products I've bought
As a substitute for dumbbells I was very happy with this for improvement in strength and shadow boxing

Almost good
I have mixed feelings about these gloves. On the positive side, the build quality is really good, and they are comfortable to wear.Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh the positives. There are two glaring issues:1: The sand in the knuckle moves around too much and has a detrimental effect on form.2: Every....and I mean every time I threw an uppercut with intention, the wrist strap comes undone, no matter how tight or loose I fasten it. This makes them completely redundant for a proper shadowboxing session.Overall, I can't recommend them based on the negatives.

Mixed success
The good: the weight is well distributed and the grip allows full use of your hands unlike some other gloves which have weight inside and out.The bad: the velcro is not strong enough to hold the wrist wrap weights in place when performing upper cuts and hooks.Gaffer tape works as a fix.
