I like using my Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader in the bathtub and I use it to read when I go waterwalking in the pool. My previous waterproof pouch, that I had had for years, recently tore so I needed a new one. The one I had was no longer available for sale. I purchased a different one from this but it was HUGE - and better suited for an actual tablet than a smaller e-reader. This pouch is the perfect size for my Kindle. I had not realized exactly what the whiteboard back wsa like until I received it - it is like it has a solid foamcore piece at the back, though it does not run the length of the pouch so if you are using this with a small tablet or phone, you can position it so that the rear camera may be used. At first I wasn't sure if I would like having it but now I don't really notice it, though I've not completely submerged the pouch with my Kindle to see if it will float. I like the closing mechanism. Once you have your item(s) in the pouch, you have to seal it twice and then fold over the length between the two seals and seal it again between some velcro. I think that will be enough to keep it sealed, barring no other breaches in other areas of the pouch. I've not had any problems advancing my kindle pages (touch screen advancement) but I have also not tried using a phone or small tablet in this to see if there are issues with touchscreen use with this pouch. While I don't use the strap when I use this in a tub, I do use it when I am in a pool so take the strap on and off. The loop holes where the strap goes are not particularly sturdy and the reason I gave this rating as four stars rather than five. I don't think they will hold up over the long run but it does remain to be seen. I also feel the strap is a bit too wide but that is a personal preference. Overall, I recommend this pouch for keeping something such as a kindle e-reader safe from water.
