Decent little cooler
I bought this cooler for my ryzen 2700x cpu and it works great, super easy to install and keeps it fairly cool, i tried it on my 5800x though and even at full blast it couldnt tame that cpu, reaches 90c sometimes and during low cpu gaming(about 30% cpu at most) runs in the 80s which is a bit to warm, i guessed that would happen cause this cpu runs abnormally hot even though amd says its normal for it to reach 90c, my much bigger noctua cpu cooler has to work quite hard to keep this cpu cool and does a much better job but that cpu still has brief spikes in temp.

Worthy replacement for AMD Wraith Stealth
I have a Ryzen 5 5600X that came with an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler. I also have a mini-ATX case that restricts CPU heat sink size. With the Wraith Stealth, idle temps were generally 50°C. While 3D gaming, it could go to 68-75°C. Under high-stress load, 85°C was not unexpected (at this point, the CPU starts throttling itself). With this cooler and the provided Noctua-brand thermal paste, there is little change in idle temp to speak of. While 3D gaming, I generally see 58-65°C (a 10° decrease). Under high-stress load, it tops at 75°C (also a 10° decrease). I'm also seeing much less throttling and the CPU stays at the boost speed more consistently when under load.I also found the AMD Wraith Stealth cooler to be a little bit noisy. The Noctua fan is quieter than the AMD fan at any given speed. Of course if you crank it up to 100%, you're going to hear it. I have the BIOS set to keep the fan speed at 30% (where it's just barely audible), and allow it to go to 100% once the CPU starts getting too hot for my tastes. If I'm rendering a video or gaming, I'd rather have a little more fan noise than have the CPU throttle.Installation was reasonably easy compared to other coolers. I had some trouble, but it was mostly due to my inexperience. If you asked me to do it again, I'd have no trouble.Individual situations vary. Maybe you don't have a 5600X. Maybe a 10-degree decrease under any given load isn't enough for you. Maybe you aren't starting from a Wraith Stealth baseline. But this cooler works for me and I'm keeping it.

Noctua Quality
This cooler is perfect for mini itx computers . Quieter than stock heatsink fan. Just double check your TDP requirements. Mine is happily cooling a Ryzen 7 5700g Asus Rog Strix B 550 . Not overclocked

A Great Little Air-Cooler w/ Big Performance
Personally, I prefer air cooling over using water cooling. I’ve never been comfortable with running loops, and have been concerned with leaks and how AIOs can lose water over time. So when I started planning my second PC build, I went right to Noctua since they have a reputation for the best air-coolers on the market. The first thing I will recommend is to check the compatibility link on their website. They make it easy to tell if any given cooler will work with your CPU, motherboard (if it will interfere with a PCIe slot for example), RAM, and your case if you are using a taller cooler.Using that as a tool, I knew I would have no problems using this with my Ryzen 5800X3D and the RAM that I selected. I was not concerned about the case since I’m using a low profile cooler in a full sized ATX tower with a lot of air-flow.Checking my temps, I see that the CPU (which is notorious for running hot) idles at about 41 Degrees C, and gets up to the mid-to-high 50s under load while gaming on Microsoft Flight Sim which pushes the 5800X3D to about 35% usage.I haven’t done a cinebench R23 run on the CPU since the stacked 3D VCache does not benefit productivity so it probably won’t fair much better than the 8-core Ryzen in my other PC, but this Noctua Cooler should be able to handle this CPU pegged to 100% usage with no problem since the 5800X3D is locked and does not allow overclocking. According to the compatibility chart on Noctua’s website, I should be okay in this regard — and my CPU is running well within recommended temperatures with this cooler under normal use.I haven't done it yet, but Noctua makes replacement CPU fans in black which will fit better with the overall aesthetics of my build. Right now, I am still using the stock brown fan that came with the cooler, and has become Noctua’s signature color. I’m not sure I if I will replace the CPU fan, but it is a simple replacement, attaching the new one with two clips. All in all, I love how this air-cooler looks in my build (fan color aside), and the performance definitely lives up to Noctua’s reputation: I definitely recommend the NH-L9x65 for anyone like me who still prefers air-cooling, but wants the performance of a water-cooler.

Noctual makes great products!
A bit expensive but high quality. Clear instructions, easy to install, reduced CPU temp a few degrees vs AMD stock cooler, quiet ..... and this is a compact/low profile cooler.

Works well, but noisy.
This is a specialty cooler for when there isn't a lot of clearance over the processor. Works well as a cooler - not for people who are into overclocking. I'm not and not a big gamer. After tracking it for several days, I have no fear of it overheating from my normal usage. It is noisy though, some kind of consequence of the smaller fan but high rpms. Ramps up quickly too from nearly silent to I'm turning my head and why I'm hearing it. Noisy is relative as the other case fans are nearly silent. Not in the realm of a dell server noise level, but noticeable in a quiet room.
