This set was easy for my child, they're below the "recommended age" and had no problems following the directions and assembling themselves. This set was sturdy from the base up. The character dolphins and chariot were a little less sturdy but that was expected. For my family, it didn't really capture The Little Mermaid theme for us, assuming it was from the original animated movie. If you have the money (and the space), get the larger $160 set 43225.

Perfectly age appropriate size. Educational and fun.

My daughter loves Princess Ariel, anything ocean related, and legos! We were so happy to get this set for her birthday. She had it put together within 24 hours (had to make time for cake and such) and played with it with her sister for weeks afterwards. She reluctantly took it apart to make room for another build, but plans to shift around some displays to have it permanently up and ready to play with again. Definitely recommend!

This perfect addition to my mermaid collection.

We can't wait to build this lego set with our 6 year old daughter. With the release of Little Mermaid she's been obsessed with mermaids and we were able to get this on sale during the last prime sale. It has great detail and the quality of lego products is always phenomenal. This will be perfect for a rainy/snowy day and should be something she can do almost on her own using her ipad for guidance.

This was a gift for my granddaughter. Something she wanted, I live farway from her and throw Amazon it was easy to make her happy.

Perfect if you use want to build something easy in a few hours. Wish they had an adult version. Contains Ariel, Sébastien, Flounder, and king Tritan. They are not the mini small figurines but not the normal size either. No complaints though.Easy build.
