Helped me immensely!
Oh my word, this has been a life-saver for me. I've tried 4 brands to help relieve my painful sciatica, and although they were all okay, this one has been the best by far -- firm enough but not too hard and with a comfortable front edge that doesn't bite into my legs. I've actually bought a second one so I don't have to keep moving it from room to room. I have one on my computer chair at the moment and it's so comfy, yet sturdy. My tailbone doesn't get sore at all any more when I'm sitting. The extra long cut-out helps a lot since I'm kind of "squirmy" when I sit. Yes, there will be a bit of that "foam smell" at first -- every single brand I've tried plus my mattress topper had it. Just unpackage it and stick it in a spare room for a few days before using. It's worth the wait to relieve your pain.

Eases my pain
I Got rid of half a dozen styles of cushions. I Had some wound starting on my bottom. SO Glad I bought this Cushion. Soft Velvet exterior ( yes !) Much Bigger than the picture. Strong in support. But Most Important I could sit on the cushion & get the sore spots on either side away from the pressure of sitting . The square shape was Better than an uncomfortable donut. For a week I then started to sleep at nights.

Works very well to alleviate pain
I sit all day at a computer. I suffer from tailbone pain. I used a doughnut and Cushion Lab cushion seat. Both didn’t alleviate the pain. I tried this because the cutoff is longer so you are not putting pressure on the tailbone. I can sit most of the day without having to suffer too much. I wish it was thicker but it does the job. I recommend it!

Comfortable
I was very skeptical. I've used it about a week now and my posture is better in the car. I have a long trip next week and hoping it serves me well. I have bought 4 different types and this is the only 1 I've kept.Update: i took it on a road trip and it made my leg hurt and I ultimately had to stop and remove the cushion. It was good for the 20 minute drives to work but it did not make the cut for a long 8 hr road trip.

PERFECT FOR WHAT I NEEDED
Very happy with this chair pad and with the deep U cut out. I already had one of the more commonly sold u cut out cushions and when I held them up side by side, the difference was remarkable. This one actually covers the entire seat of my office chair and the deep U cutout provides elevation and air flow exactly where needed unlike the traditionally sold U cutout cushions.I wouldn’t call it firm or soft. I’d give it a 5 on a 1-10 scale of firmness. I tried sitting on it with the cutout in both directions and the cutout facing the rear as it is intended definitely is the most comfortable. The back is slightly thicker than the front of the pad. The cover is a very soft velour fabric. Overall, great purchase!

Comfortable but difficult to manage
I really enjoy sitting on this cushion on my office chair. I love the long slot that runs from the back to the middle of the seat. Excellent! But, since there is nothing to stop the gap from closing as you get up and return to your chair, it always closes up so now you are sitting on a regular, completely solid seat cushion. I was in the process of looking online for sew on and adhesive velcro to make a strip that I can attach to the bottom so the gap does not change or close. But maybe it's better to find another cushion that does not close up while using.

The best design for the car on Amazon
I've tried a few, and found some that are great for my office chair, and only this one that is good in the car.CAUTION: most videos and instructions on the web and on Amazon use these things backwards. ....the opening is for the base of the spine. If you are like me, and suffer from lower spine issues (cists on my part), or a bruised spine (caused the cists), then you want that portion to have no cushioning.(1) If you look at the competitors, their open slot is only a couple inched. In a car, because of seat geometry, you will NOT get relief from those. You need a long slot, and this is EXACTLY THE RIGHT LENGTH.(2) You want to be able to attach the cushion to the seat....so important in a car, and especially if you use a clutch....repeatability of position is important, as is stability of the cushion. MANY have only a handle on the back, or a strap traversing the gap to keep it narrow....that strap is murder on a spine. AND they don't have any means of attaching to the seat. THIS ONE has a long, adjustable strap to wrap around the seat back at its base. Virtually invisible when installed, and makes the cushion stay in place, and keeps the gap open to the right amount......PERFECT

Works great. Very comfortable.
Update: this cushion has completely flattened in less than two months. I originally gave it five stars, but I had to downgrade the rating to one star due to the short life of the product.I’m just a few days back to driving Uber/Lyft, and my tailbone was hurting from so many hours sitting in my car. Today I ended up driving for 11 hours and I had no tailbone pain. It’s long enough and thin enough to comfortably fit my 2022 Highlander. I’m going to buy two more for my office chairs because my tailbone hurts from sitting on the other cushions I’ve had on them for years.
