Best Brush Ever
This brush has all the advantage of the other Ambassador brushes with one-piece handle and one-piece wire pins, except that the pins (bristles) are made of wood. I don't know exactly WHY this make the brush so much better, but it does. The bristles get through tangles much more easily, dry or wet. Maybe they slip out of the knots easily and straighten a few hairs with each stroke; I'm not prepared to tell you HOW; just that it has become my favorite brush of all time, even standing out among similar designs by the same company, using wire bristles. And I love those brushes! This is a very special brush. If you are like me, you'll get several. When this one wears out, will I still be able to find these? I've made sure I will by stockpiling a few. I've also given some as gifts. People (with hair, of course) love you for it. I've got long hair, and I used to pull out handfuls of it when brushing with those plastic brushes with the little plastic dobs on the tips of the bristles. Since this brush, I hardly pull out ANY hair with regular brushing, and my hair has started getting thicker. Most brush designers (probably the marketing department more than the engineers) can't resist putting rubberized handles on their brushes, plus decorative metal or plastic bands, and all sorts of extra pieces that do not contribute to anything except to make other people wonder if your brush is maybe connected to the internet or nuclear powered. ALL those extras have grooves and edges that trap hair, pull it out, and make cleaning the brush difficult. This brush has a simple one-piece handle with no edges, grooves, or other superfluous doo-dads to trap your hair. The bristles are straight wood. No round tip. There are many ways in which that's an advantage when brushing your hair. The lack of a round tip on each bristle means that hair can slide right past it. It also helps make the bristles easier to clean of fuzz and other build-up which plagues all brushes. Those plastic ones with plastic-tipped bristles are nearly impossible to clean. This is very easy. I actually use a pencil with an eraser. Turn it over and drag the eraser past the base of all the bristles. Do this quickly, over and over, and you'll find all that build up collecting, making it easy to drag, pull, or wash it out of the brush.I love great products that make our lives easier, healthier, or happier. This does all three, and in such a simple little design.Shooshie

I love this brush.
There are so many choices of wood brushes it makes it nearly impossible to choose which one. I finally choose this one after careful thought and research. I had no prior experience with a wooden brush. I have fine hair and my hair is somewhat healthy. So, I ordered this brush and can only attest to what I have seen as the result to my hair. My hair has become healthier, clearly. No breakage in my hair at all and I do dye my hair regularly. Brush is durable and barely collects any hair at all, I mean it is hard to collect hair in it which normally wouldn't be the case for me. None of the wooden bristles have broken off or anything. I have used it for quite some time now and love it. I guess the old saying applies here...Once you go wooden (brush) you don't go back. TRUE! I love this brush and I am very particular on the wood, etc... as I avoid chemicals, etc... eat organic so overall great brush, worth the price, does make your hair healthier and longer. It did for me. Feels good too, never thought I would find it relaxing to brush my hair, but now I do. Probably because the wooden bristles massage your scalp. Either, way it works.

Still great after 5 years!
I love this brush. The tapered pins don't snag or pull your hair, and they feel fantastic on your scalp.UPDATED 9/22/21: I’ve had this brush since July 2016… and, yes, the brush in this picture is over 5 years old. It has held up beautifully, and I can’t stress enough how wonderful the tapered wood pins are. Instead of snagging on tangles and either breaking the hairs off or tearing them out completely like ball-tipped bristles will, the tapered pins slide out. They are still wide enough to massage, not scratch, your scalp. Because they float on the cushion, they follow the contour of your head for even pressure with a bit of give.In 2018, my teenage son kept borrowing it so much, he requested his own. That same year, my mom complained about her brush, so I got one for her. In 2020, my husband started borrowing (and misplacing) my brush, and I got him one, too. This brush has worked perfectly for textures ranging from baby-fine-straight-hair to medium-coarse-curly-hair in our family. Obviously, they make great gifts.

This wooden brush gets mold!
This brush arrived in good condition. I really liked the bristles. They did not have tiny circular ends instead they were straight. In less than 2 weeks it caught mold all over the wooden body. it has white patches all over now. I wish it would have come with instructions of how this could be avoided if it has a tendency to get mold. This is an expensive brush and i cannot return/replace it now as i just passed the return window. I do not live in high humidity area. I live in california and the weather is dry. i never put the brush over the sink. I am very mindful of my things and have owned and used many wooden combs. This is the first time ever i have seen white mold patches on such expensive and good quality product. I wish this would have worked for me.

This is what this brush is to me:
This brush is everything I was hoping it would be. If you are looking for a brush that does the following, this is the brush for you:-sturdy and not easily broken-good quality and great craftsmanship-smells like Ashwood and leaves your hair smelling that way-bristles are made of wood and do not fall out easily-good size for daily use and travel-not a massive brush that takes up unnecessary drawer space-distributes natural hair oil to the rest of hair-does not cause friction-reasonable price-massages scalp and feels amazing to useThere is really no negative thing I can say about this brush. I now look forward to brushing my hair.
