Sound is very low considering it's a small bowl. Hitting it with the wooden end produces a better sound. Also, moving the mallet in a circular motion barely produces frequencies.((Revised)):It's been almost a week and I got it and I must say it is a let down. Took plenty of trial and error attempts to know how and where to hit the bowl to get a resonating sound. But still, compared to singing bowls at the professional healers, you have to try really hard to hit it right and the sound is not the same. I tried to use it to charge my crystals but the other bowls at the crystal shop are more effective.I'd say this makes a good display piece.
