LEGOChima 70010 The Lion CHI Temple

Remember when Legos were just a bunch of tiny squares and rectangles? Well... Not these Legos!!! These Legos are just cool! And all though they have instructions on how to construct them, one can pretty much build anything one wants, hence I have to say that a few bonus gifts are included; IMAGINATION, INSPIRATION, INGENUITY, the list goes on and on...I will recommend you purchase some type of storage for the blocks (specially the small ones) and a the building board, they will help a lot! If you plan to buy this for your children, I must tell you that you will not regret it, they will not be interested in TVs phones, or consoles of any kind, you will see a spark light up in their eyes and it will open a new world of possibilities. They will start to think as engineers and start to consider, weight and balance and proportions, they will use their math, and they will PLAY and just have so much FUN!!!Just be prepare when they get a bit frustrated, but just be patient and in courage them to continue and not give up. It will teach them about perseverance, and PATIENCE. At the end you will see how proud they become of themselves, and they will say "I can't believe I actually build that!" (You will be pressed too, I know I was!!!)Those are the reasons I award this Lego set 5 stars. I am extremely happy with my purchase, and if you decide to buy this, you will be too. Enjoy!!!

When I unpacked the box it had 2 large holes. The shipping box was in tact, just the Lego box was damaged. The parts seem to be complete. It will be a birthday gift for my grandson so I am VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

The set is a very nice recreation of the chima lion temple, but there are numerous parts of the temple that break apart, come undone, and fall off repeatedly. Given the expense of this set, you would have figured that lego would have at least included a baseplate for the main part of the temple, which would at minimum reduce the times that the main section pops apart. The included figurines are great, and the mini racer cars and croc vehicle are great too. But the temple itself is a far cry from even being close to sturdy.I would have a hard time recommending it for kids under 7 given all the parts that fly off and get lost. Also, the cost given its overall size is a bit of a shock, particularly as there are at least a few hundred miniscule "claws" and "teeth" that inflate the lego count.

This is a fun lego set to play CAREFULLY with but not so fun to put together and can easily fall apart if you hit it the wrong way - no easy for younger kids who like to actually play with them after they are built

This is just an awesome set! The details, the figures, the fact that it comes with some (non-complicated) vehicles, the movement in some of the pieces (like shooting the vehicles out of the hidden spots in the waterfall, the moving walkway/bridge, the places to sneak in, and the cannon ball), and the other little neat features (like the clear waterfall tiles, the swivel throne, etc). It took me about an hour and a half to build it for my son one night and I left the vehicles for him to assemble in the morning (he is almost 5 and was able to handle the eagle and 2 lion vehicles but needed some assistance with the croc vehicle). We both love it!

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson for Christmas. It was his main gift, along with many smaller items. It is now more than a month later, and he still cannot finish putting it together. While putting it together, my daughter has discovered that pieces are missing. While they can get on the LEGO site and order replacement pieces, this should not be necessary on a $80+ purchase. Quality control is obviously seriously lacking.I cannot recommend this product unless you are a very patient person, and do not mind waiting months to complete the project.

I was hesitant to get this set because of the high price and wasn't sure my son would finish such a big project. It ended up being a great experience! He did a book a day, building it by himself. He loves the bridge that has a trap when you pull levers, and he really likes the gun that shoots. It came with a great variety of characters too.

Openned product, missing pieces, ziplock bag inside instead. It was the worse experience I could possibly have. Never ever again.
