I teach Emotional and Behavioral Special Ed and some of my students have multiple disabilities. In my class of 7 students all but one writes all over the page. One, named "K" could cry, throw desks, suck his thumb or clear teach tables when expected to do daily writing. It took one day to get him to try it; one more day to do with support, and by the third page, I am not making this up, K came to school with his own little pocket-size notebook and pen and said that before he does his writing (Channie's) he had to do his "own writing" - in his notebook. Neat, clear and on one line! Then, after looking like a spy with his little notebook, he sat down and finished his class writing (the CHannie's page) with determination and contentment. THIS PAPER HAS REDUCED MALADAPTIVE BEHAVIORS and increased quiet, focused on-task behaviors. I wasn't sure about it, but read the reviews and I can honestly say - these moments of success are the reasons I teach. Thanks Channie! Even my OT is impressed.

My daughter has visual challenges and I bought this workbook to help her with letter placement and sizing. She is in first grade and I bought this level for her so that she could focus on writing the words not learning new words. She did the first page and wanted to do another, instantly I could see her improve. We practiced a few sheets a day all through spring break. Yesterday in class the teacher saw her writing from across the room and went up to her to acknowledge how well she was writing! The pages build in skill with full sentences toward the back of the work book. This product will be a great compliment to our summer curriculum.thanks!

My son has issues with lining up words and maintaining letter sizing. After just a couple days he is doing well with this. More importantly he loves it and wants to work with it. Spelling and writing things out for him has been a very difficult process but this has made it so much easier for him that I bought the blank pad for him as well.I really wish Channie's would do a number pad , he asked me to see if they had one that he could work on his numbers with but I couldn't find just numbers anywhere. We'll use the blank pad for that, but it would be nice to have one with just 2 "levels" per row as numbers don't need the lower section.

Though there are clear rules of phonics & language constructions in English, there are also those bewildering 'exceptions to the rule'. They do prove the rule, but still demand additional work & rote reinforcement at the primary level. Later on with etymology we find the sense & historical background for those exceptions coming into English from this language or that, this cultural tendency or that.....but there's no need or benefit for bogging down students with that until they're of an age to comprehend it. Flashcards are useful & much reading, but these little worksheets with the additional layer of handwriting physically & mentally reinforcing the words aids children immensely. Glad to find them.

Paper is great. Has difficulty withstanding the erasing of my 4 year old but was the old school performance primary paper I was looking for.

Great book to assist your child with fine motor activities. Helps build a strong base for the future. Would absolutely recommend.

Great for children leaning how to hold a pencil or a pen to write.

My 5 year old does know how to spell most of these words now so it's great for handwriting practice
