An excellent introduction to GPR
Erica Utsi aptly describes the book as an introduction to GPR. It is a very practical guide, covering all aspects that the end-user will want to know. If you're entering the world of GPR, this book does a very good job of explaining the technology and methods without getting bogged down with electromagnetic theory. She does cover some theory, but only as far as needed. For me, as a native English (American) speaker, it reads easy. I'm docking it one star the because the illustrations could be better. There are several radargrams that are used as examples, but I felt that she could have used ones that more clearly illustrated the principle. Also, several illustrations were obviously intended to be in color, but the entire book was printed in grayscale. For example, one series of radargrams have the caption: "The same data presented in gray scale and two color variations", but they're all printed in grayscale. For a $100 book, I expect color. Aside from that, I would recommend the book.
