Frontier, Peppercorn Pink, 0.88 Ounce

I purchased other pink peppercorns but they had such a bitter flavor and were overly moist so I ended up throwing them out. The product sold by Frontier has a delicate, pleasant flavor and the grinder does a good job flaking the corns. Worth the money if you like pink peppercorn flakes. I just wish they sold a refillable grinder and a bag of peppercorns to refill it and avoid so much plastic waste.

Hadn’t used pink pepper before. I really like it. It’s ‘softer’ than black pepper and I’m using it a lot for just about anything I cook that’s savory.

Lovely floral, fruity and slightly peppery flavor. Such an interesting flavor. Unfortunately, pink peppercorns just don’t do well in grinders, as they’re so soft that the membrane clogs up the grinder.

The built in grinder on this is terrible and fell apart in my dish. Such poor quality for an otherwise great spice that I wasn’t able to use. I ended up with pink peppercorns all over my floor.

Great if you are allergic to, or react to regular pepper. My wife is very sensitive to black pepper and gets migraine headaches from it. I discovered that these pink peppercorns are not related to black, green or white peppercorns, which all come from the pepper plant Piper nigrum, but instead comes from the pink peppercorn tree, Schinus molle, which is unrelated, and in the same family as the cashew nut tree. She is able to use her pink peppercorns in her food without having any headaches and enjoys the flavor!

The peppercorns were fine and had flavor however the grinder they came in was awful! We had to empty out our pepper grinder in order to put these pink peppercorn in to grind them. The one that came with the product would spin but it was not grinding. A few flakes came out after 3 solid minutes of working the grinder. Worthless without a good grinder.

I'd guess it wasn't stored properly or it's just old. Zero taste - it's basically pink dust. Also the grinder doesn't work well so the grind is uneven and too fine.
