We laid the rug out as flat as possible, but 2 days later the packing fold lines were still there. We then rolled the rug up snugly, hoping to flatten the fold lines, and left it for another 2 days, but the raised folds stubbornly remained. I then laid the rug on our patio and drenched it with water. That finally did the trick, but it was another 2-day wait for it to dry. Our rug is 3x5, and perhaps the folds on a larger heavier rug flatten more easily, but rolling rather than folding would definitely be the right way to pack and ship. Also, because the pattern on the rug is printed on, rather than woven in, care has to be taken while the rug is wet to ensure that the nap lies the right way and hides the lower white fibers. With those problems finally overcome, it's an attractive rug and we like it.

Design is as pictured. "Non-slip backing" appears to be made to slide easily. There is no grip to it. Maybe there is if it is on top of carpet but I imagine that this rug is too puffy to put on top of carpet. It's a trip hazard. We have engineered flooring - fake wood. Our previous non-slip rugs are flat, thin and heavy. Rubber coating on the whole of the underside. Washable. The rubber coating eventually breaks down. Can no longer find that kind so I tried this. This rug sits high. Like there's a layer of sponge between the top and bottom layers. It won't lay flat. Sides are still sticking up from how it was folded to fit into the plastic bag. Tried turning it over but there's no weight to flatten it out. Even put cartons of printer paper on edge but still no change. Too dangerous to use at the entrance. It will be relegated to the basement.

Rug is beautiful. It looks very expensive and is quality. Very comfortable in stocking feet. It is amazing for the price. I am very impressed and it looks beautiful in my kitchen. 4 STARS !!

The colors are really accurate from the photos. Very soft
